Part II - Charles Family
It is not known when the Charles and Balie families arrived in America, although William Charles, (born before 1640,) and Abigail Bailie, (born before 1645, in Rhode Island), were married (no date given) by Mr. Jefuery, magistrate in "Rode Island." Her father was William Bailie, who was born about 1619.
They removed to Perquimans County, North Carolina, 1677, where he died on 6 August of that year.
Children:
William Charles, Jr, son of William Charles Sr. and Abigail Bailie, was born 13 July 1661.
He was married 8 November 1683 to Elizabeth Kent, who was born 1 June 1667, Perquimans County, North Carolina, daughter of Thomas (died 2 June 1678) and Ann Kent.
William�s will was dated 7 April 1687, and probated 28 September 1687; Elizabeth was married/2 on 11 August 1687 to John Long.
Children:
Samuel Charles Sr., son of William Charles (1) and Abigail Bailie, was born 22 March 1674.
He was married 6 October 1696 to Elisabeth Morrison, daughter of John Morrison. His will was dated 12 March 1727/8

Samuel Charles Jr, son of Samuel Charles Sr. and Elizabeth Morrison, was born 20 August 1703. He was married 5da 7mo 1722, to Hannah Davis.
