The Hudiburgh Family

Thomas Jefferson Hudiburgh, Sr., was possibly the first generation in America. He was born 26 January 1763, and died in 1833.
He was married probably before 1750, to Dorothy (Dolly) Reno Clock.
Thomas’s second marriage was to Mary Coker.

Thomas Jefferson Hudiburgh, Jr., son of Thomas Jefferson, Sr., and Dorothy Reno Clock, was born 21 March 1787.
He was married/1 in 1806, to Polly McCarter, the mother of his children, who died 24 September 1842. He was married/2 to 30 March 1843, to Hannah Monhollow.
Children:
Solomon Hudiburgh, son of Thomas Jefferson Hudiburgh, Jr. and Polly McCarter, was born 16 February 1825.
He was married 30 July 1846, to Joanna Day. He died in 1858, a victim of robbery and murder.
Children:
Thomas Jefferson (Uncle Tom) Hudiburgh, IV son of Solomon Hudiburgh and Joanna Day, was born 15 September 1848 in Morgan County, Indiana. In 1865, he served in Bugler Company K, 145 Reg., Indiana Vol. Infantry, during the Civil War.
He was married 19 October 1876, near Burr Oak, Jewell County, Kansas, to Sarah E. Hodgson. Sarah was born 20 August 1858, the daughter of Lucinda H Reich and Nathan Hodgson. See: Moore Family, Part VIII
He died 25 April 1932, and is buried at Union Cemetery, Jewell County, Kansas.
