Pioneers of Eastern Montana and Their Descendants
Pioneer Biographies – Original Writing
Tuesday, February 14, 2006
Soon after the Parmly Billings Library opened in Billings, they instituted a practice whereby early pioneer families were invited to prepare their own two-page biography. Several of these documents, in the pioneer’s own handwriting still exist today. Most were born in the early to mid 1800’s and they share a lineage, description of their life, spouse & children, and when they arrived in Montana. They are stored in the file cabinets in the Montana Room under M-Pioneers. Below is listed the Fact Sheets that are still available. You might want to make copy of this valuable family record. The names on the documents carry full identification of their given and surnames.
