In 1812, Johnston County, North Carolina, Thaddeus's listing: one poll,
insolvent.
Thaddeus fought in the War of 1812, Eighth Company, Johnston, North
Carolina. (From North Carolina 1812-1814 Muster Rolls). During the
war he was a drummer and beat the drums at the Johnston County
Courthouse (North Carolina). His brother Leroy, was a fifer.

Thaddeus came to Shelby County, Alabama about 1824 with his family
and his wife Celia's brother William and family. Here he was engaged in
farming and also he and his sons and family members were millers as
well.
In 1862 Thadeus and his wife Celia deeded some property to their
daughter and Son-in-law, Leah and James Ford, in return for their care
in their senior years.
