    Mrs. Mary Amelia Philips, ofHigh-street, Newcastle, died at theage of 89.She was born at Cook's Hill.She is survived by two daughters-Miss R. Philips and Mrs. C.II. Seivl--four grandchildren, andseven great-grandchildren. Mr. W.E. Nickisson, of Hamilton, is abrother.Mrs. Philips was a founder anda life-long supporter of the Women'sGuild in the Newcastle Cathedral.The funeral moved from theCathedral to Sandgate Cemetery
