   Rev. Newit Vick and wife Elizabeth Clark Vick died of Scarlet Fever, she outlived him by only 20 minutes. He gave the land for Vicksburg, Miss.

   nickname "Frank" Wrote in a journal from Dec 25, 1856 until March 20, 1862 . This is about his and his family`s journey from Vicksburg to Texas. He bought land in Borne, Kendell Co. March 17, 1862. The journal`s last entry is March 20, 1862. This land was the Balcones Ranch or Fort Henderson, where many descendents were born and at least one buried.
