WEBSTER CO MS

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dancy was established and designated a depot in 1904 when the Mobile, Jackson and Kansas City Railroad came through this section of the county.
 By 1906 there had been several stores built. When the town was at its height there were three general mercantile stores, a drugstore, a sawmill, a gin, a grist mill, a grammar school and two churches.
In 1936 the population was 50, and there was a post office, two stores, and a prepaid freight station.
