June Love Leggett
November 5, 2002 Services for Mrs. June Love Leggett, 80, of Mathiston, were held November 7, 2002 at Fellowship Baptist Church and interment in Fellowship Cemetery in Choctaw County. 
Mrs. Leggett died November 5, 2002 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was a Homemaker and a Member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Mrs. Leggett was a longtime contributing editor of the "Fellowship News" in the Webster Progress, Choctaw Plaindealer and Choctaw Chronicle Newspapers. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert Vollie Leggett. 
Survivors: Sons, Edward Leggett of Mathiston, MS, Floyd Leggett of Mathiston, Malloy Leggett of West Point, MS; 7 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren. Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora was in charge of arrangements.
Edith Skelton Oliver
October 14, 2002 Services for Edith Skelton Oliver, 82, of Eupora, were held October 17, 2002 at Eupora First Baptist Church with burial in the Eupora City Cemetery.  Mrs. Oliver died October 14, 2002 at her home of congestive heart failure.  Mrs. Oliver was born August 26, 1920, to Spencer and Naomi Ruth Skelton and lived most of her life in Eupora. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Welty Oliver, Sr. Following World War II in 1947, the Olivers established Oliver Funeral Home, building the business together as they ministered to many families in and around the area.  Mrs. Oliver was an active member of First Baptist Church for more than 50 years, participating in WMU, teaching children's classes and singing in the choir for as long as she was able. She was also a former member of the Eastern Star and 20th Century Club.  "Miss Edith" was the matriarch of the Oliver Family and loved each and every one of them with her big heart. She is survived by her daughter, Amy Stephens and son-in-law Loye Stephens; son, Charles Welty "Charlie" Oliver Jr. and daughter-in-law Becky Oliver, all of Eupora; four grandchildren, Stephanie Stephens of Ridgeland, MS, Suzanne Stephens of Starkville, MS, Edie Oliver and Casey Oliver of Eupora; one great grandson, Collin Stephens of Ridgeland, MS; two sisters Pauline Boyd of Corinth, MS and Ruth Witherington of Bartlett, Tn. and two caregivers Martha Rogers and Ann Fondren of Eupora, MS Memorials may be made to the Choir Fund or the Building Fund of the Eupora First Baptist Church, P. O. Box 268, Eupora, MS 39744. Pallbearers: Pete Fortner, Charlie Ward, Jackie Savage, Clayton Allen, Jimmy Witherington, James Earl Oliver, Johnny Elkins, Don Steen.  Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora was in charge of arrangements.
