1997 OBITS


Loree Margaret Edwards, 88, died Tuesday, June 24, 1997, at the Webster General Hospital Long Term Care Unit in Eupora. She was born Nov. 2, 1908, in Webster County to James Alex Edwards and Lenora Tharp Edwards. She was a homemaker and a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Webster County.


Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Pryor Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Weddle and the Rev. Don Edwards officiating. Burial will be in New Hope-Bethany Cemetery in Webster County.


Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Frances Edwards of Eupora and Rebecca Holt of Birmingham, Ala.; several nieces and nephews.


Pallbearers will be Davis Edwards, Mark Edwards, Terry Hamilton, Gray Hester, Mike Edwards, T.E. Griffin, Denny Gregg and James Doss.


Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to service time today at the funeral home.
 
Bertha Davidson Sugg, 71, died Wednesday, June 25, 1997, at Webster Health Services in Eupora. She was born in Calhoun County on Dec. 30, 1925. She was a member of Walthall Baptist Church and was a homemaker.


Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Willie Weddle and the Rev. Doug Pepper officiating. Burial will be in the North Union Cemetery in Bellefontaine.


Survivors include her husband, Sam K. Sugg of Eupora; one daughter, Laura Sugg Pepper of Eupora; five sisters, Mildred Blocker of Livingston, La., Earlene Harper of Lacombe, La., Ola Cutrer of Roseland, La., Verlon Howard of St. Francisville, La., and Jane Bennett of Amite, La.; one grandson, Wesley Pepper.
