GILLEN, PRATHER posted by Betty Allison on Sunday, December 21, 1997

PRATHER, Robert Jefferson and Josephine (GILLEN) Josephine is my great aunt. She was born in 1850, so I would assume that she and Robet married in the 1870's. Her father moved to Navarro Co., Tx. in the early 1900's. They visited him here. However I have not been able to find out anything about them! Help!, And thanks. Josephine has a sister, Susana C., born in 1856 that nothing is known about. I suspect she died!?

BRYANT posted by Janice E. Bryant on Monday, January 26, 1998

My husband and I are seeking any information about William Luther BRYANT, for whom we have a certificate saying he was made mayor of Blue Springs, Union County, MS, 25 Feb, 1918. We were told by his son (our grandfather), Joseph Earl BRYANT, that William Luther had been a lawman in the town, and had been crippled in a shootout with some escaping criminals. We have no other sources for information. Just a tantalizing photograph of William Luther BRYANT with his wife, six sons, and four daughters on the porch of his home with the photographs of two absent members prominently displayed. We do not have names for any of these children but two (and we don't know which two): Joseph Earl BRYANT, and Jewell BRYANT. Any help we can get will be greatly valued. Thanks
