Briggs, Pvt. Grover R., son of Mrs. Callie R. Briggs of New Site. Drowned in Cumberland River while on maneuvers on 24 May 1944.

Brimingham, PFC Eulice W., son of Mr. and Mrs. George Brimingham and husband of Dorothy Corksey Brimingham of Booneville. Killed in action in France 17 ily 1944.

Brooks, PFC Bennie, husband of Evon Miller Brooks, , of Jumpertown. Killed in action in Germany 24 April 1945.

Bullard, PFC Talmadge A., son of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bullard of Rienzi. Killed in action in Germany on 25, February 1945. In service one year.

Burns, Pvt. Johnnie, brother of Mrs.. Fred Wroten of Booneville. Killed in Manila on 9 February 1945. In service three years.

Cagle, PFC Clyde, son of Mrs. George Cagle of Booneville. Killed in action in France,on 12 July 1944.

Cagle, PFC George W., son of Mr. and Mrs. George Cagle of Booneville Killed in action in Germany on 3 March 1945. In service three and a half years.

Carpenter,  Pvt. Morton, son of Mrs.. W.E. Carpenter of Booneville. Died on 10 May 1943 at Mukden, a Japanese Prison Camp. In service three and a half years.

Carter, Sgt. Robert H., son of Mr. and Mrs. R.O. Carter of Wheeler. Killed in action over Japan on 9 February 1945.

Corbin, Pvt. Randall, son of G.P. Corbin of Jumpertown. Killed in action on Mindanao on 17 June 1945. In service one year.

Cosby, PFC Edward Harold, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cosby of Rienzi. Killed in action with Marines on Saipan on 7 July 1944. In service one year.

Crab, PFC Randall, son of Mr. and Mrs. O.L. Crab of New Site. Killed in action on Manila on 9 February 1945. In service one year and a half.

Crow, Pvt. Benjamin Leonard, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Crow of New Site. Killed in action on the Anzio Beachhead in Italy on 4 may 1944.

Dodds, S/Sgt. Will Vernon, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Lee Dodds of Booneville and husband of Florence Cagle Dodds. Killed in action in Germany on 16 September 1946.

Down, PFC T.L., son of O.L. Downs of Thrasher. Killed in action in France on 12 July 1944.

Furtick, PFC John D., son of Mr. and Mrs. B.A. Furtick of Booneville Killed in action with Marines probably on Saipan on 5 August 1944. In service a year and a half.

Green, Cpl. Floyd, son of Mr. and Mrs. Baxter Green of Booneville. Killed in a B?24 crash near Charleston, South Carolina. In service three and a half years.

Griffin, PFC Raymond, son of J.M. Griffin of Rienzi and husband of Dorothy Johnson Griffin of Corinth. Killed in action in Belgium on 27 December 1944. In service three years.

Grisham, S/Sgt Billy, son of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Grisham, , formerly of Wheeler. Killed in bomber crash in Wyoming on 28 January 1944.

Grisham, Lt. Hurlon, son of the late Robert E. and Augusta Blanchard of Booneville. Killed in action over France on 1 August 1944.

Grisham, Pvt. Wesley, son of Mrs. Rosa Grisham of Boonevilled. Killed on European front lines in December 1944.

McCord,  M/M Paul, son of Mrs.. Lee McCord of Jumpertown. Killed in action in the Pacific on USS Aaron Ward on 27 April 1943. In service fourteen years.

Malone, PFC Cleve L., son of Mr. and Mrs. U.G. Malone of Booneville. Killed in action in Italy on 19 April 1945. In service two years.

Marshall Lt. Howard, son of Mrs.. J.W. Marshall. Shot down while on a mission over Japanese?held territory on 27 January 1944.

Michael, T/4 Davis Frank, son of the late Mrs. D.A. Michael and husband of Bernice Jumper Michael. Lost at sea on 27 October 1943 In service one year.

Mills, Capt. Charles son of Mr. and Mrs. C.P. Mills of Belden. Killed in action during the Battle of Guam in 1944. Served in the US Marines.

Mitchell, Ens. George R., son of Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Mitchell of Booneville. Kille while a Japanese prisoner by American torpedo fire on 7 September 1944. In service five years.

Mitchell, Lt. James R., son of Mr. and Mrs. George R. Mitchell of Booneville. Died in Asiatic area in a British general hospital on 31 January 1944.

Mize, Pvt. William Crockett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Mize of Booneville.Killed in action in France on 18 July 1944. In service for ten months.

Ozbirn,  PFC Gyther, son of Mr. and Mrs. A.F. Ozbirn. Died on 30 March 1946, en route to a Georgia hospital to be treated for wounds recieved in Italy.

Pate, Lt. Dexter, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Pate. Lost in a raid over Bremen, Germany, on 8 October 1943. In service one year.

Penna, PFC James Earl, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter G. Penna of Booneville. Killed in action on Luzon on 7 June 1945. In service thirty months.

Pharr, PFC Gayle, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Pharr of Booneville. Killed in action in North Africa on 29 May 1943. In service two and a half years.

Pinson, S1/c Oliver W., son of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Pinson of Paden, Died of Wounds in South Pacific in May 1945.

Potts, Pvt. Arlee , son of Mr. and Mrs. T.W. Potts of Booneville. Killed in action in September 1944.

Pounds, CPL. Thedrall, son of Mr. and Mrs..Seth Pounds of Booneville. Served in European theatre, receiving wounds twice. Discharged in November, 1945. Died in Automobile Accident on 18 May 1946

Prestage, PFC Raye son of Mr. and Mrs L.C. Prestage of Moore's Mill and husband of Azalee West Prestage. Killed in action in France on 6 August 1944.

Ryan, S/Sgt. Troy L., son of Mr. and Mrs. W.W. Ryan and husband of Eldred Coats Ryan of Baldwyn. Killed in action over Germany on 26 November 1944. In service twenty?one months.

Saylors, PFC William Homer, son of Mrs.. Ella Saylors of Booneville and husband of Bertha Henderson
Saylors. Killed in action in Germany on 3 October 1944.

Short, S/Sgt. Troy L. son, of Mrs.. Modell Short of Booneville. Killed in action on Booneville Island on 14 February 1944. In service five months.

Sims, Pvt. Guy A., son of Mr. R.H. Sims of Corinth and husband of Louise Marr Saylors Sims. Killed in action in Germany on 9 October 1944.

Simmons, PFC James H. son of Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Simmons of Rienzi. Killed in action in Germany on 19 November 1944. In service two years.

Thomas, Sgt. Jack son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Thomas of Booneville. Died in veteran’s hospital in Philadelphia 30 April 1945. In service four years; two years in Pacific duty.

Thompson, T/Sgt E.T.,  son of Mrs.. Otto Nixon, now of Memphis and husband of Gilda Bellabarba Thompson. Died 6 March 1946, in New York Accident. Had survived nine major Pacific battles.

Thompson, Pvt. Hubert V., son of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Thompson of Booneville. Killed in action in France on 30 September 1944. In service a year and a half.

Wages, CPL. Clifton, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Wages of Blue Springs and husband of Elizabeth Wallis Wages, Killed on the first day of the European invasion 6 June 1944. In service four years.

Walden, Pvt. John T., husband of Eloise Garner Walden of Wheeler. Died in Italian hospital on 13 March 1944, of wounds received in battle. In service eight months.

Whitehead, PFC James H., son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvie M. Whitehead of Booneville. Killed in action with the US Marine Corps in July 1944.

Wingo, PFC Harold, son of Mrs.. Maggie Wingo of Rienzi. Killed in action in Italy on 7 March 1944. In service two years.

Wright, Pvt. Kerry Milton, son of Marshall Wright of Marietta and husband of Cletus Slack Wright. Died in accident in line of duty at an Oregon Camp on 30 June 1944. In service eight months.
