ANNIE LOU WOMACK

BOONEVILLE - Annie Lou Womack, 97, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004, at The Landmark in Booneville. She was born Sept. 15, 1907, to the late Otha and Idella Houston. She was the postmaster at Marietta for 34 years and a member of the Rural Postmasters Association. She was a member of the Kirkville Baptist Church and the Marietta RCDC. She enjoyed fishing.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Jim Irvin will officiate, Dr. Lynn Jones will assist, and Travis Childers will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in the Booneville Cemetery.

Survivors include three sisters, Geraldine Corbett, Billie McGlaun and Peggy Williams, all of Booneville; a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Womack; her parents; a sister, Sybil Nabers; and two brothers, Hubert and Paul Jack Houston.

Nephews and great-nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will continue at the funeral home until service time today.

DEAN WONG

CORINTH - Dean Wong, 62, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005, at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis. He was born Dinh K. Huynh in Quinhon, Vietnam. He attended college in Quinhon, then joined the South Vietnamese Army in 1964. He served as an English interpreter and analyst for the U.S. military. After sustaining serious injuries in an automobile accident, he was honorably discharged from the service in 1967. From 1977-1978 he and his family emigrated to Hong Kong, where he continued to serve as an interpreter for the U.S. Embassy. In 1979 the family emigrated to the United States, where they opened their first Chinese restaurant in 1981. He retired from active participation in the operations of the China Palace Chinese Restaurant in Corinth in the late 1990s. A loving husband, father and brother, he consistently put his family and friends first and will be missed dearly.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Corinth with the Rev. Russell Hamm officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Memorial Park.

Survivors include his wife, Tammy Wong of Corinth; two sons, Richard Wong and wife, Sandy, and Tom Wong, all of Cordova, Tenn.; a daughter, Nina Seiler and husband, Vincent, of Jackson, Tenn.; three brothers, Dai K. Huynh of China, Hieu K. Huynh of France and Ky K. Huynh of Los Angeles, Calif.; four sisters, Chan B. Huynh of Texas, Chinh B. Huynh of San Francisco, Calif., Anh B. Huynh of New York City and Quan B. Huynh of Vietnam.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Huong N. Huynh and Anh Vuu.

BALDWYN - Andrea Michelle Wood, 23, died Thursday, July 29, 2004, at her home. She was a member of Worship Center Independent Baptist Church and an employee of Bauhaus Inc.

CORINTH - Calvin Lee Wood, 60, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004, at the Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was a graduate of Easom High School, where he was a star football player.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today at the National Cemetery with the Rev. Lawrence Morris officiating. Patterson Memorial Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include a son, Carlton D. Wood; a daughter, Angela V. Wood Hill; three grandchildren, Lurico D. Wood, Corderra Wood and Tyesha Patterson; a special friend, Beatrice Kirk.

He was preceded in death by her parents, Savoy B. Damron and Mattie Damron.

RIPLEY - Clytee Chapman Wood, 90, died Monday, Jan. 5, 2004, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was a homemaker and a member of the Chapman Church of Christ. She enjoyed fishing, gardening and caring for others.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at McBride Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Mark Lindley and Dr. Patrick Chapman officiating. Burial will be in Criswell Cemetery in Ripley.

Survivors include two daughters, Joy Simmons and husband, Larry, of Ecru, and Juan Stroupe and husband, Guy, of Ripley; three sons, Bobby Dean Michaels and wife, Juanita, and Gary Wood and wife, Elsie, all of Ripley, and Larry Wood and wife, Wilma, of Booneville; two sisters, Inez Morrison and Valcie Hurt, both of Ripley; two brothers, W. M. Chapman and Mig Chapman, both of Ripley; 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Paige Wood; her parents, Hugh and Mary Ralph Chapman; a son, Ronnie Paige Wood; two sisters, Gladys Robertson and Georgie Morrison; two brothers, Hollis Chapman and Ralph Chapman; a grandson, Shane Stroupe; and a granddaughter, Frances Clytee Wood.

CRATIS O. WOOD

FULTON - Cratis O. Wood, 80, died Monday, April 7, 2003, at his home. He was born June 17, 1922, in Itawamba County to General Allen Wood and Sarah Alice Thornton Wood. He was a construction worker and an employee of American Motors for 23 years. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the VFW. He was a Baptist. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Senter Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Glyn Wiygul officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Survivors include a daughter, Kelly Jean Short and husband, Pat, of Fulton; a sister, Carolyn Underwood and husband, Ray, of Iuka; three brothers, Travis Wood and wife, Annie, of Riceville, Ga., Billy James Wood and wife, Beverly, of Kenosha, Wis., and Wayne Wood and wife, Maureen, of Fulton; three grandchildren, Christopher Short, Darcy Wilson and Tare Short; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Polly West.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Tramel Wood, and a sister-in-law, Vona Mae Wood.

GLEN - Dustin Michael Wood, 20, died Saturday, April 2, 2005, in Booneville. He attended Strickland Church of Christ. He was a 2003 ACHS graduate where he was in the band and enjoyed playing the drums. He enjoyed being with his family and friends.

BOONEVILLE - Jennie Jennetta Wood, 90, died Tuesday, July 2, 2002, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. She was born Feb. 10, 1912, in Zinnia, Ill., to Joseph B. and Delta Eastin Elston. She was the widow of Cad Wood and a homemaker. She was a member of Forked Oak Baptist Church. She was an original "Rosie the Riv­eter" with Douglas Aircraft Company during World War II and a retired employee of the American Can Company in Maywood, III.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Forked Oak Baptist Church with Bro. Ricky Johnson and Bro. Horace Mc­Combs officiating. Burial will be in Forked Oak Cemetery. Booneville Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

GUNTOWN - Myrtie Wood, 92, died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2004, at her daughter's home in Saltillo. She was a retired supervisor at Guntown Slack Company and a member of the Guntown First Baptist Church. She enjoyed crafts and baking.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Waters Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Robbins officiating. Burial will be in the Campbelltown Cemetery.

IUKA - Staci Lynn Wood, 39, died Monday, Sept. 5, 2005, at the Iuka Living Center.

GUNTOWN - Walter Baron Wood, 62, died Friday, May 9, 2003, at his residence. He was retired as a tool and die maker. He was a member of the Gun town Baptist Church.

Eddie Woodard, 36, of Decatur, IL, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2001, at the Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur, IL. Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 25. Burial was in Kirkville Cemetery.

Local survivors include a daughter, Brittany Woodard of Marietta; and his grandmother, Harweda Warren Smith of Marietta.

            BOONEVILLE ‑ Grover Laverne Woodard, 83, died Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2002, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. He was born Oct. 4, 1918, in Henry, Tenn., to Grover Mason Woodard and Ethel Lawrence Woodard. He had lived in Booneville for the past 20 years. He was a retired truck driver and a Baptist. He was a US. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the VFW in McKenzie, Tenn.

            Services will be at 11 a.m. today at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Lynn Jones officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in McKenzie ' Tenn., with the Rev. Kenny Carr officiating.

DAUSEY L. WOODRUFF, DIES IN ARIZONA

Mr. Dausey L. Woodruff of Florence, Arizona died suddenly Tuesday, October 13, 1964, at his home. He was a member of the Church of Christ and a construction worker. He was 48.

CAIRO - Harold Wayne Woodruff, 63, died Friday, Jan. 2, 2004, at his residence. He was a member of the Jackson Camp Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved to work in construction.

IUKA - Howard E. Woodruff, 75, died Sunday, July 20, 2003, at the Iuka Hospital. He was a retired EMT with the Tishomingo County Hospital, a former employee of Cutshall Funeral Home and a carpenter. He was a member of the Iuka Church of Christ. He will be fondly remembered for his love of music and his willingness to provide music for nursing homes and charities.

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka with Lance Foster officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Woodruff of Iuka; two sons, Jerry Woodruff of Athens, Ala., and Jimmy Woodruff of Selmer, Tenn.; two daughters, Janet Childress of Booneville and Jackie McDuffy of Iuka; two brothers, Ray Gene Woodruff and Richard Woodruff, both of Iuka; a sister, Tootsie Carlisle of Southaven; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Woodruff, Danny Gene Woodruff, Robert Davis, Richard Childress, Jeremy Childress and Richard D. Woodruff.

 

INEZ PANNELL WOODRUFF

Inez Pannell Woodruff, 89, died Sunday, July 8, 2001, at Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home in Iuka.

She was a member of the Iuka Gospel Chapel where she served as pianist for many years. She was one of the Pannell Sisters who sang on WCMA Radio in Corinth in 1950. She was an avid lover of roses.

Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka with Bro. Jim Edwards and Bro. Joe Woodruff officiating. Burial was in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home was in charge of services.

Survivors include two sons, Eddie Woodruff of Iuka and Joe Woodruff of Indianapolis, Ind.; two sisters Gladys Linton and Marie Yarbrough, both of Iuka; seven grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. She was precede in death by her husband, J. C. "Cleck" Woodruff; and a daughter, Martha Hendrix.

Pallbearers were Scott Woodruff, Adam South, Keith Woodruff, Blake Kenaum, Jeremy South and Eddie Cody.

 

ROSCOE WOODRUFF

CORINTH - John Dewey "Roscoe" Woodruff, 83, died Saturday, June 25, 2005, at his residence. He was born Aug. 27, 1921, in Alcorn County to John Wister and Dena Burcham Woodruff. He served during World War II in the U.S. Army engineering division. He married Dorothy Lou Schoenberg while stationed in Washington, D.C. After his tour in Europe, he returned to Mississippi where he received his associate's degree in Agriculture from Northeast Junior College. He and Dorothy had five children: Judy, Jim, Mike, Susan and Scott. They moved to Charleston in 1960, where he worked for A.P. DeMange Lumber Company as manager. A year after Dorothy's death in 1961, he married Elsie Herbert of Grenada. He was active in the First United Methodist Church of Charleston. In 1974, he and Elsie returned to Alcorn County where he worked at Corinth Machinery until his retirement. Elsie dies of cancer in 1988. In 1992, he married Gladys Harville Suban. He served on the Board of Directors of Alcorn County Water Association for 25 years, most of that time as its president. He was lay leader and Sunday School teacher at Indian Springs United Methodist Church for many years.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the Indian Springs United Methodist Church with Bro. Charles McGill officiating with eulogy by Bro. Henry Story and Bro. Brad Dillingham. Burial will be in the Liberty Hill Cemetery. McPeters Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian, and her husband, Millard; one brother, Homer Ray Woodruff; brothers-in-law, W.E. Emerson, Thrust Bain, Smith Oakley and Jack Blassingame; sisters-in-law, Pearline Woodruff and Dorothy Jean Woodruff.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons and great-grandson, Kevin Maxcy Frank Weiss, Bill Sanders, Matthew James, Devin Richardson and Matt Ferguson.

BOONEVILLE -Leutty L. Woodruff, 84, died Thursday, March 23, 1995, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. He was a retired sales manager for Tom's Toasted Peanuts and a member of the Snowdown Church of Christ.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be in the New Lebanon Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Vera Hinton Woodruff of Booneville; two sons, Glynn Fields of Conyers, Ga., and Richard Fields of Panama City, Fla.; one daughter, Kamathy Lips of Conyngham, Pa.; one brother, Leness Woodruff of Booneville; three sisters, Lillian Rushing and Essie Faye Pace, both of Corinth, and Lema Armstrong of Booneville; five grandchildren.

MRS. LOUISE WOODRUFF

Services Today For Mrs. Louise Woodruff

Services will be held today, Thursday, at 4 o'clock at McMillan Funeral Home for Mrs. Louise Boone Woodruff. Mrs. Woodruff died suddenly of a heart attack Tuesday afternoon, February 11, 1964 at the Northeast Mississippi Hospital.

Brother W. L. Wallace, Jr., will officiate at the services and burial will be in the Booneville Cemetery under the direction of McMillan Funeral Home. She was 62 years old.

Mrs. Woodruff was administrator of Aletha Lodge Nursing Home. For more than 30 years she was associated with Anderson Clinic.

She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Order of the Eastern, Star, and Booneville Business and Professional Women's Club. She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Mrs. Woodruff was the great-granddaughter of Reuben Holman for which the City of Booneville was named her grandfather; Bartley Barry Boone was one of the three founders of the city. He served in the State Legislature and was a member of the Constitutional Convention in 1890. The land where the Booneville High School now stands was given to the city by Mr. Boone. Judge Bartley Barry Boone and Louisa M. Petty Boone had one son, James Neal who married Dora A. Martin and whose children were Mrs. Robert (Louise) Woodruff, Mrs. Roy Greene, Mrs. Fred B. Deane and Barry Boone (also deceased).

Mrs. Woodruff leaves three sons, Marion Boone McCoy of Booneville, R. L. (Bobby) Woodruff, Jr., of Lynchburg, Pa.

 

QUANA WOODRUFF

BURTON - Quana Riddle Woodruff, 73, died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2003, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo as the result of an automobile accident. She was a homemaker and a member of Forked Oak Baptist Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel in Booneville with Bro. Rickey Johnson, Bro. Horace McCombs and Bro. Dwight South officiating. Burial will be in Mack­eys Creek Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband*of 54 years, Leness Woodruff; two sons, Jack­ie Woodruff of Burton, and Jimmy Woodruff and wife, Lori, of Bay Springs; a sister, Mary R. Jones of Warner Rob­bins, Ga.; two brothers, Curtis Riddle of Burton and Travis Riddle of the New Home community; four grandchildren, Shonda Woodruff, Kevin Woodruff, Kully Woodruff and Josh Woodruff; four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her par­ents, Lewallen and Essie Riddle; an in­fant daughter, Joann Woodruff; and two brothers, Dauwayne and Cletus Riddle.

OVOLENE WOODRUFF

Ovolene Audrey Marlar Woodruff, 93, a homemaker, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2000, in Fort Worth, Texas.

She was a member of the New Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church in the Cairo community of Prentiss County. She was born Jan. 1, 1907, in Tishomingo County to Walter Lee and Lula Rose Ella Frost Marlar. She married Louis Levi Woodruff Jan. 11, 1938, in Booneville and lived in the Snowdown community of Prentiss County until moving to the Retta area near Fort Worth, Texas, in 982.

She was preceded in death by her husband on May 11, 1981, and by three sisters, Dorothy Marlar Ayers of Booneville, Jewel Marlar Brown of Burleson, Texas and Sula Marlar Gray of Forth North, Texas and by two brothers, Alvis Marlar of seller, Texas and Luther Marlar of Bartlett, Tenn. All of her brothers and sisters were reared in Mississippi. She was the last surviving member of her family and the oldest child.

Services will be Friday, Jan. 21, at 11 a.m. at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. ;teve Corbett of New Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill  Cemetery near Burnsville.

She is survived by five nieces, Nancy Ann Brown and Ella Sue Brown McGuire, both of 3urleson, Texas, Dixie Jean Brown Hensley of port Worth, Texas, Barbara Jewel Brown Muncy of Monroe, N. C., and Dorothy Jane Gray Choate of Mansfield, Texas; two nephews, Jack Gray Jr. of Worth Worth, Texas and Thomas Luther Marlar of Covington, La.; many great nieces and nephews in Texas and a host of relatives in Prentiss County and surrounding areas.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Coker, Kenneth Coker, Homer Ivey, Wayne Woodruff, Leness Woodruff and R. C. Davis.

Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 20, from 1 - 9 p.m. and until service time Friday.

 

RAY GENE WOODRUFF

IUKA - Ray Gene Woodruff, 65, died Friday, May 20, 2005, at his residence. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church and was a former member of North Corinth Baptist Church. He was retired from Intex Plastics and was a musician who enjoyed playing the guitar and singing. He also enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka with Bro. Phil Dawson and Bro. Bill Wages officiating. Burial will be in the Providence Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Drusilla Woodruff of Iuka; two sons, Johnny Woodruff and wife, Melynda, and Danny Gene Woodruff, all of Iuka; one brother, Richard Woodruff of Iuka; four grandchildren, Nathan , Chad, R.J. and Vanessa Woodruff, all of Iuka; and a special niece, Alisha Stanley of Iuka.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Zach Woodruff; his first wife, Elizabeth Woodruff; an infant son; a brother, Howard Woodruff; and two sisters, Jaunita Carlilse and Geneva Osborn.

BOONEVILLE - Robert "Bobby" Woodruff Jr., 74, died Wednesday, April 23, 2003, at his home after a long illness. He was a retired employee of the Prentiss County Electric Power Association, where he worked for 35 years. He was a member of the Booneville Church of Christ and a U.S. Army veteran.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Booneville Church of Christ with Minister Doug Greenway officiating. Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery. McMillan Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Funeral Services For Mr. T.B. Woodruff

Thomas Bennett "T.B." Woodruff, 81, died Monday, Dec. 28, 1998, at the Iuka Hospital. He was a retired postmaster, a World War II veteran and a member of Burnsville United Methodist Church. He was a Scottish Rite, and a 50 year member and past Master of the Burnsville Lodge No. 233. He was a former Boy Scout leader and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gene Vance officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Mattie Faye Woodruff of Burnsville; one son, Eddie S. Woodruff of Eupora; two sisters, Frankie Moore of Collierville, Tenn., and Jean Randall of Counce, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Brian, Susan, Amy, Brett and Jason; three great grandchildren, Jessica, Brendon and Caitlin.

VELMA BUTLER WOODRUFF

Velma Butler Woodruff, 82, of P.O. Box 44, Wheeler, died Monday, March 9, 1992, at her home after a brief illness.

Services were Wednesday, March 11, at 11 a.m. at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Terry Hall and Bert Harper officiating. Burial was in Prentiss Memorial Garden.

Mrs. Woodruff was the widow of George Woodruff. She was a homemaker and a member of Wheeler Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by six daughters, Louise White, Brenda Cochran and Glenda Parker, all of Guntown, Mavelene Lindsey of Wheeler, Loreda Harrison of Tupelo and Marie Maxey of Ashville, N.C.; a son, Harold (Pete) Woodruff of Wheeler; two brothers, Albert Butler of New Albany and Elmer Butler of Calhoun City; 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Her grandchildren served as pallbearers.

CORINTH - Kylie Lynn Woods, infant, died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2004, at the McNairy Regional Hospital.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Coleman-Family Chapel with Bro. Pete Wooley officiating. Burial will be in Union Baptist Cemetery.

Survivors include her mother, Cherry Woods of Corinth; her father, Chris Gibson of Corinth; her grandparents, Johnny Woods and wife, Terry, of Corinth, and Shelly Griffin of Lexington, Ky.; a brother, Dalton Gibson of Corinth; two aunts, Jessica Woods and Jasmine Egbert, both of Corinth.

TRAVIS W. WOODS

            Travis W 'Woody" Woods, 77, died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at his home after along illness. He was a native of Whiteville, Tenn., and a resident of Tupelo since 1963. He was a graduate of Whitesville High School and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. After serving in the Navy, he served four years with the Tennessee National Guard. He was a retired employee of South Central Bell with 37 years of service. He was a member and past president of the Natchez Trace Golf Club, a past president of the Tupelo Masonic Lodge, and a past president of the Tupelo Telephone Pioneers of America. He was an avid golfer and hunter.

            Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with the Rev. Jerry Estes and Dr. Forest Sheffield officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.

            Survivors include his wife of 53 years, E. Mane Woods of Tupelo, one daughter, Debbie Woods Stiles, and her husband, Mike, of Tupelo; a son, Mike and Karen Woods of Dorsey; four grandchildren, Robert Michael Woods, Stuart Wesley Woods, Kyle York Woods and Sharma Stiles Allred; two great‑grandchildren, Michael Hunter Allred and Memory Caml Ashley Woods.

            He was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother.

MARGARET WOODWARD

Muriel Margaret Woodward, 84, died Sunday, May 25, 1997, at her residence in Amory after a sudden illness.

Services were Monday, May 26, at 2 p.m. at the E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with the Rev. Sammy Washburn officiating. Burial was in the Harden's Chapel Cemetery in Fulton.

Mrs. Woodward was born in St. Mary's, Ohio, and grew up in Ohio. She was married to Edward Woodward in 1938 until his death in 1980. She was a resident of Fulton from 1977 until 1992 when she moved to Amory. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Andrew's United Methodist Church. She attended the Smithville United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included reading.

She is survived by three sons, Ed Woodward and his wife, Sara, of Booneville, Jon Woodward and his wife, Deborah, and Mike Woodward and his wife, Michelle, all of Amory; one daughter, Ann Hardesty of Glen; one brother, Richard Bartlett of St. Mary's, Ohio; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, the Rev. Harold Bartlett and Velma Colvin Bartlett; one son, Richard Lee Woodward; and one sister, Anna Mary Opperman.

Pallbearers were Kevin Woodward, Chris Woodward, Michael Hardesty, Bro. Jason Woodward, Kenney Turner and Louie Williams.

RIPLEY - James Hollis Wooley, 91, died Friday, Aug. 6, 2004, at the Tippah County Hospital Nursing Home in Ripley. He was born Aug. 22, 1912, in Alcorn County to Jessie and Betty Stewart Wooley. He was a retired, self-employed grocery store and dry cleaner owner. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of Palmer Baptist Church.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at McBride Funeral Home Chapel in Ripley with the Rev. Don Wilson and Bro. Bill Baker officiating. Burial will be in Tippah Memorial Gardens in Ripley. Corinthian Funeral Home of Corinth is in charge of the arrangements.

MEMPHIS - James R. Wooley, 62, died Friday, June 25, 2004, at his residence in Memphis. A native of Tippah County, he was born July 22, 1941, to the late Melvin and Inez Shaw Wooley. He lived most of his adult life in Memphis. He was an endowed wood craftsman. He was of the Baptist faith.

Services will be at 11 a. m. Monday at McPeters Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Methodist Shiloh Cemetery.

CORINTH - Laura Ophelia Elizabeth Mullins Wooten, 92, died Sunday, March 27, 2005, at the Mississippi Care Center in Corinth. She was born Sept. 14, 1912, in McNairy County, Tenn., to David Emmitt and Rosetta Floyd Mullins. She was the oldest member of Tuscumbia Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, church clerk, training union director and treasurer. She enjoyed working in her flowers.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Tuscumbia Baptist Church with the Rev. James Wooley and the Rev. Warren Jones officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorial Funeral Home of Corinth is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include a son, Herman Ray Wooten and wife, Patsy, of Corinth; three daughters, Lewell Jarnagin of Corinth, Bettie W. CEDAR LAKE, Ind. - Estion Works, 78, died Wednesday, May 5, 2004, at the Crestmark Nursing Home. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a retired welder for Union Tank Car Company in Chicago.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at the Palestine Community Church with Bro. Dwight South officiating. Burial will be in the Palestine Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Works of Iuka and Ronnie Works of Indiana; seven daughters, Shirley Works Belue and Peggy Wilson, both of Iuka, Vanessa Henderson, Theresa Rodes, Wendy Key and Shelia Calhoun, all of Alabama, and Tina Huxley of Miss.; four sisters, Helen Work, Betty Sue Hollis, Lily Bonham and Billie Joyce Crawford, all of Alabama; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

CORINTH - John Wiley Works, 36, died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2003, at the Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born Nov. 11, 1967, in Corinth. He was a graduate of Corinth High School, where he participated in the baseball program. He was an electrician at Wolverine of Booneville for the past seven years. He was a ball coach at the Sports Plex and a member of Foote Street Church of Christ. He was an avid duck hunter, and enjoyed watersports and spending time with the boys.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at McPeters Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Charles Curtis and the Rev. C.V. Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery.

Survivors include his parents, Johnny Ray and Wanda King Works of Corinth; two sons, John Wiley Works Jr. and Garrett Works, both of Corinth; a sister, Kim Heavener and husband, David, of Corinth; his grandparents, Vera King and Hayward King, both of Corinth; two aunts, Brenda and Tommy Fooshee, and Betty and Larry Thacker; nieces and nephew, Tyler, Taylor and Trinity Heavener; cousins, Becky and Matt Fooshee, and Linda and Greg Thacker; his stepgrandmother, "Bill" Works of Corinth; the mother of his children, Andrea Works.

ARTHUR HENRY WORLEY

Arthur Henry Worley, 85, died at Booneville Hospital at 6.45 a.m. Saturday, February 24, 1973 after a brief illness.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 25, at Fairview church of God with burial in the church cemetery.

He was a retired farmer. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Lona Dixon Worley; two sons, Andrew of Golconda, IN., Elmer of Metropolis, Ill.; two daughters, Mrs. Lucille Jourdan of Tishomingo, Mrs. Marie Lambert of Tishomingo; one sister, Mrs. Maggie Tidwell of Savannah, Tenn.; 22 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

 

AUSIE ODEAN WORLEY

Ausie Odean Worley was born in Brilliant, Alabama, but was raised in Prentiss Mississippi. She died July 15, 1994 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She leaves her husband Allen Dale Rogers, four daughter, Mary Harbin, Kathy Harbin, Martha Rogers, Haze Rogers six sons, James Harbin, William Harbin, and Willie Harbin, Nelson Ray Rogers, Allen Day Rogers, Danny Rogers

Ausie Roger worked most of her life to raise her children.

She is buried at New Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Watson, Louisiana. She was a member of New Bethlehem Baptist Church.

 

JAMES NELSON WORLEY

James Nelson Worley, 80, of Booneville, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002, at Baptist Memorial Hospital Booneville, after a long illness. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 20. Burial was in Gaston Cemetery.

Local survivors include his wife, Nadine Worley of Booneville; two daughters, Joan Vandevander of Marietta and Janet Brown of Booneville; and a brother, Nelvin Worley of Booneville.

 

HANK WORSHAM

CORINTH - Ben Frank "Hank" Worsham III, 68, died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2004, at his home in Corinth. He graduated from Corinth High School in 1953, and earned a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Mississippi in 1957. While at UM he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity and selected for membership in Chi Epsilon Honor Society. He joined the firm of Worsham Brother Inc. in 1959, and was currently serving as president. He was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church of Corinth where he sang in the choir and serves as deacon and then elder. He served as a lifetime member of the Board of Directors of the Y.M.C.A. of Corinth. He was very active in the Corinth Theater of Arts.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Don Elliott officiating. Burial will be in the Henry Cemetery. McPeters Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Debra Gilmore Worsham of Corinth; a daughter, Allen Worsham Bradford of Cajamarca, Peru; three sons, Ben Frank Worsham IV of Nashville, Tenn., Brittain McAmis "Mac" Worsham of New York City, Clifford Worsham of Birmingham, Ala.; a stepson, Jeremy Michael Glidewell of Corinth; one brother, Robert Hayden "Bobby" Worsham of Corinth; a son-in-law, William Ray Bradford of Cajamarca, Peru; four grandchildren, Mollie Allen Bradford, William Ray Bradford Jr., Hannah Hess Bradford and Madelyn Koren James.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Dorothy Worsham; and his first wife, Mollie McAmis Worsham.

TUPELO - Amos Earl Wren, 66, died Wednesday, April 7, 2004, at his home in the Auburn community. He was a retired employee of Mid-South Packers and a retired machinist for Precision Blade. He was a Baptist and a former member of the Army Reserve. He enjoyed playing the guitar, singing and gardening.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Waters Funeral Home with Bro. Lewis Bridges officiating. Burial will be in Crossroads Cemetery.

Carrey R. Wren Rites Held Sunday

Mr. Carrey R. Wren of Booneville died at the Northeast Mississippi Hospital on Friday at 10:15 a.m. following an- illness of five years. He was a member of Grace Methodist Church, retired from Civil Service work, and World War I veteran. He was 68.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in the chapel of McMillan Funeral Home with, Bro. Huey Wood officiating. Burial was in the Booneville Cemetery with McMillan Funeral Directors in charge.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Kate Wheeler Wren of Booneville; his father, J. R. (Bob) Wren of Booneville; a son, J. D. Herman Wren, 76, of Rienzi, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2002, at his home. Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 21. Burial was in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Herman H. Wren, 83, of Talladega, Ala., died unexpectedly Friday, Feb. 10, at the Talladega Nursing Home.

Services were Sunday, Feb. 12, at 2 a.m. at McMillan Funeral Home chapel with Eddie Alexander officiating. Burial was in Hinkle Creek Cemetery.

Mr. Wren was a Baptist and a retired farmer.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ethel Massengill Wren; and a brother, Jack Wren of Rienzi.

JULIET, Ill. - Lillian Walker Wren, 82, died Thursday, July 11, 2002, after a brief illness. She was a native of Booneville and the daughter of the late William and Pearl Vest Walker. She was a longtime resident of Joliet, III. She was a member of the Baptist church. She enjoyed reading the Banner Inde­pendent each week and spending time with her grandchildren.

Services were Monday, July 15, 2002, at Westwood Memorial Chapel in Joliet, Ill., with the Rev. Brian Pipping of­ficiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Memo­rial Park in Joliet.

Survivors include three daughters, Dons Smith and Marie Howland of Joli­et, Ill., and Rita Thye of Rockford, Ill.; a son, Lonnie Wren of Joliet; two grand­children, Jason Howland, and Eric How­land and his wife, Sue; a great-grand­son, Cameron Joseph Howland: a sister, Lera Garvin and her husband, Rubel, of Booneville; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

LILLIE WREN

CORINTH - Lillie Mitchell Wren, 87, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2003, at her home. She was a cook for several area restaurants and a retired employee of Buckeye Oil Mill. Strong, hard-working and talented, she was a pillar of strength for her entire family.

Services will be at noon Saturday at City Road CME Church with the Rev. Robert Field officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Hill Cemetery. Patterson Memorial Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include a son, Robert Wren and wife, Mary, of Corinth; two daughters, Effie Wren of Corinth, and Dorothy Smith and husband, Norland, of Jackson; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 10 sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleveland and Effie Mitchell; her husband, Sammie Wren; a son, Eugene Wren; two sisters, Cealene Irby and Beatrice Herron; two brothers, Willie Mitchell and Cleveland Mitchell; and a great-granddaughter, Matrie Wren Walden.

Vernon Ray Wren, 67, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville.

Services were Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 11 a.m. at Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dan Minnix officiating. Burial was in Antioch Number 2 Cemetery.

Mr. Wren was born Nov. 9, 1934, in Prentiss County, the son of Thomas Payton Wren and Mattie Floyd Wren. He was a retired automobile mechanic and a member of Mills Community Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Tiny Ruth Wren, whom he married May 27, 1953; two daughters, Lisa Lambert and her husband, Larry, of Booneville, and Donna Hyde and her husband, Jody, of Rienzi; three brothers, Loudis Wren and his wife, Joann, Bill Wren and his wife, Virgie, all of Booneville, and Herman Wren and his wife, Lorene, of Rienzi; a sister, Gladys Harris of Booneville; and three grandchildren, Kari Hyde, Amanda Bishop and Jason Lambert.

CORINTH - Zola Mae Wrenn, 79, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2005, at her home. She was a member of the First Church of Corinth and a homemaker. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

A. C. Wright, 68; of Booneville, died Saturday, June 21, 1997, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville after an extended illness.

Services were Monday, June 23, at 2 p.m. at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Smith and Minister Lee Cole officiating. Burial was in Booneville Cemetery.

Mr. Wright was retired founder of A. C. Wright Trucking Inc. He was a member of New Lebanon Freewill Baptist Church and a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War with 21 months of active service. He was a life member of the VFW. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Alta Wright and one brother, Ewell Wright.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Davis Wright; one daughter, Karen Wright Malone and her husband, Tom, of Houston, Texas; two sons, Stanley Wright and his wife, Connie, and Carl Wright and his wife, Debbie, all of Booneville; three sisters, Letha Bryant, Sue McNeil and June Skinner, all of the Cairo community; one brother, Doyle Wright of the Cairo community; and four grandchildren, Jessica Wright, Andy Wright, Forrest Wright and Joshua Wright.

BETTY JO COLE WRIGHT

Betty Jo Cole Wright, 62, of Booneville, died Tuesday, July 30, 1996, Baptist Memorial Hospital Booneville.

Mrs. Wright was a retired homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.

Services were at 4:30 p.m., August 1 from the chapel of Salts Funeral Home with Bro. Dwight Pharr officiating. Burial was in the Carter Chapel Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Earl "Shorty" Wright, in April 1996.

Survivors include two aunts, Hazel Murphy of Memphis and Inez Learnerd of Peta Luma, Calif.; and numerous other relatives and friends.

 

BILLY MAX WRIGHT

Billy Max Wright, 72, died Tuesday, March 19, 2002, at his home. He was owner and operator of Selmer Auto Parts for 45 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Selmer, Tenn., where he served as a deacon and in various church positions. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a 32nd degree Mason, a Shriner in Al Chymia Temple in Memphis, and a member of the Pickwick Shrine Club, the Scottish Rites and the VFW Post 2418.

Services were at 11 a.m. Friday at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Selmer, Tenn., with the Rev. Max Walker and the Rev. Dexter Wilemon officiating. Burial was in Lake Hill Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include his wife, Colene Wright; two daughters, Brenda Park of Corinth and Debbie Wadsworth of Hernando; a son, Philip Wright of Cordova, Tenn.; his grandchildren, Chandler Wadsworth, Ben Wadsworth, Mollie Wadsworth, Kailee Wright, Hayden Park and Alyssa Park; two sisters, Charline Crow of Selmer, Tenn., and Annie Rea a Gray of Glen; two brothers, J. P. Wright of Paducah, Ky., and L. C. Wright of Booneville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James P. and Lillie Cleo Davis Wright; a sister, Ruby Lee Moore; and a brother, Hal Wright.

His nephews served as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers were the Gilley Memorial Sunday School Class.

 

MRS. CLARISSA WRIGHT

Aged Citizen Passes Away

 In the death of Mrs. Clarissa Wright, at her home in Booneville Monday Morning, Booneville and Prentiss County lost one of its oldest People. Mrs. Wright was nearly 86 years of age, having been born in 1844, in what was then Old Tishomingo County. She was the daughter of Alex McCreary, one of the county's pioneer settlers. She was a young lady during the dark days of the Civil War and could tell many stories of the hardships, privations, and the loyal devotion of the people during those days. After the war she was united in marriage to John Wright, who had seen four years service in the cause of the Confederacy. Mr. Wright had been captured at Fort Donaldson and was held in prison for quite awhile.

 Her husband only lived a few years after their marriage, leaving a good woman with two small children, Bro. P.G. Wright, who is now teaching in Alcorn County, and Miss Fannie with whom she lived for many years.

Mrs. Wright came of hardy long-lived people, her father, Alex McCreary, living to be 95 years old, and she now has living two brothers, Andy, who is past 90 years of age, and Will, who is 84, and one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Cox, who is 80.

 Mrs. Wright has been a faithful member of the Church of Christ for many years. Her funeral was conducted by a life-long friend, Elder Lee Shook, of Belmont, after which the body was tenderly laid to rest in the Booneville Cemetery. The bereaved son and daughter have the deep sympathy of many friends at the going of this splendid lady, who did so much in her quiet way for making the world better.

CORINTH - Carlton "Eddie" Wright, 55, died Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, at his residence. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and served two years in the Vietnam War. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member of the North Corinth Baptist Church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the McPeters Funeral Directors Chapel with Bro. Bill Wages officiating. Burial will be in the Johns Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Carlie Wright.

CLAYTON WRIGHT JR.

BELMONT - Clayton Ben Wright Jr., 79, died Monday, Sept. 22, 2003, in San Simon, Ariz. He was a resident of Apache Junction, Ariz., and a former resident of Belmont. He was the owner of a shoe and western boot manufacturing shop in Amarillo, Texas. He was a former member of Belmont United Methodist Church and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was the son of the late Ben Wright Sr. and Clarice Messer Wright.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Belmont with Bro. Ed Saunders officiating. Burial will be in Belmont Memory Garden.

Survivors include two cousins, Raymond Shook Sr. and wife, Eva, of Golden and Nell Messer of Belmont; a host of cousins.

Visitation will be from 2:30 p.m. to service time Sunday at the funeral home.

 

CURTIS WRIGHT

BURNSVILLE - Curtis Allen Wright, 83, died Tuesday, May 11, 2004, at his home. He was a farmer and a member of Burgess Creek Baptist Church. He was a highly decorated U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family, children and grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka with Bro. Gary Tesseneer officiating. Burial will be in Burgess Creek Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Marie Wright of Burnsville; two sons, Larry Wright of Burnsville and Jerry Wright of Iuka; four brothers, Donnie Wright of Booneville, Jimmy Wright of Cairo, Clovis Wright of Burnsville and Bobby Wright of Tupelo; a sister, Earlene Brown of Burnsville; three grandchildren, Jeff, Keith and Jamie Wright; two great-grandchildren, Nicolas and Savannah Wright; two stepgrandchildren, Sabrina and Brianna Wright.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clovis and Ethel Wright; three brothers, Hubert, Bill and Leslie Wright; and three sisters, Bertha Belue, Dorothy Bain and Verafae Wright.

IUKA - David P. Wright, 81, died Sunday, July 25, 2004, at his residence. He was a member of Mt. Glory Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening and working in his yard.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka with Bro. Joe Hardwick officiating. Burial will be in the Rutledge-Salem Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Ivene Wright of Iuka; two sons, Danny Wright and wife, Denise, and Jerome Wright, all of Iuka; three daughters, Ruth Ortner and husband, Mike, of Iuka, Carolyn Coln and husband, Mike, and Marcia Haynie and husband, Randy, all of Corinth; eight grandchildren, Adam Wright, Jill Wright, Jennifer Ortner and Jason Ortner, all of Iuka, Zack Coln, Justin Coln and Colton Haynie, all of Corinth, Becky Haynie Arnold and husband, Nick, of Rienzi.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stafford and Ada Wright.

Services For Mr. E. Clay Wright Held Sat. In Belmont

E. Clay Wright, 71, retired banker of Belmont, died Thursday at the Baptist Hospital in Memphis. He was born in Prentiss County, in the Fourth District, and in his boyhood days attended the Bonneville High School.

I Mr. Wright was the son of the late Ben Wright, an influential citizen, a landowner who had extensive holdings in this county. He established the Bank of Belmont and served as president of the institution for a long period. His son, E. C. Wright, served as cashier many years, while his brother, E1lis Wright, was president. Earlier, the deceased was associated with Allen Wright Hardware Co.

Mr. Wright was an outstanding citizen of his area and he was active in the business and civic life of Belmont for many years. He and his family made major contributions to the development and progress of his town and county. As a member of the Church of Christ he had an unusual record of zealous and devoted Christian service and as a Sunday School teacher in a long tenure of 38 years.

He leaves his wife, the f o r m e r Miss Josephine Jordan of Red Bay, Ala., a daughter, four granddaughters, a sister, Mrs. L. P. Allen, and a brother, Ellis Wright of Belmont.

Rites were held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 at the Church of Christ with burial in the Belmont Cemetery.

 

MRS. CLARISSA WRIGHT

Aged Citizen Passes Away

In the death of Mrs. Clarissa Wright at her home in Booneville Monday Morning, Booneville and Prentiss County lost one of its oldest People. Mrs. Wright was nearly 86 years of age, having been born in 1844, in what was then Old Tishomingo County. She was the daughter of Alex McCreary, one of the county's pioneer settlers. She was a young lady during the dark days of the Civil War and could tell many stories of the hardships, privations, and the loyal devotion of the people during those days. After the war she was united in marriage to John Wright, who had seen four years service in the cause of the Confederacy. Mr. Wright had been captured at Fort Donaldson and was held in prison for quite awhile.

Her husband only lived a few years after their marriage, leaving a good woman with two small children, Bro. P. G. Wright, who is now teaching in Alcorn County, and Miss Fannie with whom she lived for many years.

Mrs. Wright came of hardy long-lived people, her father, Alex McCreary, living to be 95 years old, and she now has living two brothers, Andy, who is past 90 years of age, and Will, who is 84, and one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Cox, who is 80.

Mrs. Wright has been a faithful member of the Church of Christ for many years. Her funeral was conducted by a life-long friend, Elder Lee Shook, of Belmont, after which the body was tenderly laid to rest in the Booneville Cemetery. The bereaved son and daughter have the deep sympathy of many friends at the going of this splendid lady, who did so much in her quiet way for making the world better.

CORINTH - Eddie Mae Wright, 74, died Tuesday, May 18, 2004, at Alcorn Rehab and Health Center. She was a member of Macedonia M.B. Church and an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary on John Street. She was retired from Magnolia Regional Health Center.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Macedonia M.B. Church with the Rev. Lawrence Morris officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Grayson's Funeral Services is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth Lee Wright of Chicago; a brother, Willie E. Burley of Little Rock, Ark.; three sisters, Lottie Edmond of Corinth, Alice Jones of Dallas, Texas, and Myrtle Burley of Brinkley, Ark.; two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Lizzie Burley; her husband, Johnny Wright; and a brother, Joe Burley.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

 

EWELL CLESTON WRIGHT

Ewell Cleston Wright, 66, of Booneville, died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 1994, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo after an extended illness.

Services were Thursday, Dec. 22, at 3 p.m. at First Free Will Baptist Church in Booneville with the Rev. Jerry Smith and the Rev. Tim Coleman officiating. Burial was in New Lebanon Cemetery. McMillan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Wright was a retired heavy equipment operation instructor at Northeast Mississippi Community College. He was a member of Booneville First Free Will Baptist Church, the Booneville Civitan Club and a Shriner. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife, Lurline Wright; a daughter, Kathy Williams of Booneville; two sons, Tommy Wright of Tupelo and Michael Wright of Booneville; his mother, Alta Williams of Cairo; three sisters, Letha Bryant, Sue McNeil and June Skinner, all of Cairo; two brothers, Arliss C. Wright of Booneville and Doyle Wright of Cairo; and three grandchildren, Kevin Wright, Cheryl Wright and Mandy Williams.

Pallbearers were Gayle Davis, Julian Johnson, Buddy Whisenant, Ray Vuncannon, Simpson Street, Quindel Pierce, Clay Perry and James Glasglow.

BELMONT - Horace Edwin Wright, 55, died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2003, in Tunica. He was employed as a truck driver for Sanderson Redi-Mix for 30 years. He had served in the U.S. Navy Reserves and was a member of the New Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church and Paden Masonic Lodge.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Belmont with the Rev. Jason Pilcher and the Rev. Donald Green officiating. Burial will be in the New Lebanon Cemetery in Tishomingo.

Survivors include his daughter, Shauna LeAnn Wright of Belmont; his mother and stepfather, Lowenstein and Harold Graves of Booneville; one sister, Betty Green and her husband, Donald, of Booneville; two brothers, Johnny Wright and his wife, Thena of Booneville, and Gary Wright of Ft. Campbell, Ky.; one aunt, Ireda Burcham of Tishomingo; three nieces; three great-nephews; one great-niece; a host of friends and relatives.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Wright, in 2000; and his father, Verrel Horace Wright.

Pallbearers will be Billy Harris, Eric Montgomery, Shane Montgomery, Phillip Slayton, Gary Slayton and Ricky Slayton.

BOONEVILLE - Gary Lee Wright, 34, died Saturday, July 9, 2005, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born Aug. 6, 1970, in Booneville to Verrel Horace Wright and Lowenstein Bryant Wright. He was a factory worker before becoming disabled. He graduated from Booneville High School and Northeast Mississippi Community College. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Operation Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was a member of the Church Without Walls. He enjoyed sports, NASCAR and music.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Don Green and Minister Jason Pilcher officiating. Burial will be in the New Lebanon Cemetery.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Lowenstein and Harold Graves; a brother, Johnny Wright and wife, Thena, of Booneville; a sister, Betty Green and husband, Don, of Eupora; two stepbrothers, Johnny Graves and Mike Graves; three stepsisters, Cathy Johnson, Carol Essary and Diane Weathers; four nieces, two great-nieces and three great-nephews.

Death Comes to Bro. J.M. Wright Monday

 Bro. J. M. Wright, aged 72, of East Prentiss, passed away at the Northeast Mississippi Hospital early Monday morning. He  had been sick only a short while, having undergone an operation the  operation was too late to stay the disease.

 Mr. Wright and his estimable family moved into Prentiss County in 1900, coming from Franklin County, Alabama. He settled near New Site, where he lived until his death. He reared a large family. He is survived by a devoted and affectionate wife, five sons: James P. and Walter of New Site; David M. of Sidon, Miss.; Will F. of Plantersville and John of Burnsville and four daughters Mrs. Tullyer Gilley; Mrs. Ollie Thornton and Mrs. Dora Jacniyan of New Site and Mrs. Ola Barron of Slate Springs. One son, Ben P. made the supreme sacrifice during the late world war.

 Mr. Wright came of sturdy pioneer stock, his grandfather, having been a soldier of the American Revolution, under the command of General Francis Marion.

 Early in life Mr. Wright became a member of the Baptist church and for more than 40 years had been a minister of the gospel. He was frank, earnest and sincere; honorable and upright in his dealings with his fellowman. He was firm in his convictions and always ready to take a stand for the better things of life. He leaves a heritage to his splendid family, a life well spent, one of his sons, standing by the open casket said "My father was a wise counselor; we boys will miss his loving advice and counsel; to us, he was all a father should be." No greater compliment could be paid any parent.

 The funeral exercises were conducted by his personal friend Bro. E. Strickland, of Belmont at the East Prentiss Baptist Church and his body was tenderly laid to rest to await the Resurrection day.

NEW SITE - James Travis "Jimmy" Wright, 69, died Friday, Aug. 5, 2005, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo after a long illness. He was a retired logger and truck driver.

Hubert E. Wright, 76, died, Friday, December 11, 1998, at his home in Burnsville. He was a retired employee of Corinth Machinery, an Army veteran of World War II and a Baptist.

J. P. Wright, 82, died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2002, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky., after a long illness. He was a native of New Site.

Funeral services were Saturday, Sept. 28. Burial was in the East Prentiss Cemetery.

Local survivor includes a brother, L. C. Wright of Booneville.

BELMONT - Mary Fisher Wright, 79, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003, at her home. She was a school teacher and a librarian for many years. She was a member of the Belmont United Methodist Church.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Belmont United Methodist Church with Bro. Ed Saunders officiating. Burial will be in Belmont City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home of Belmont is in charge of the arrangements.

Patsy C. Wright, 52, died Monday, Dec. 25, 2000, at her home. She was a native of Mississippi. She worked for many years as a loan officer secretary with the First National Bank of Golden and as manager of the Belmont Housing Authority. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Services were at 1 p.m., Dec. 27, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Belmont with the Rev. Ray Kirk, the Rev. Jason Pilcher and the Rev. Donald Green officiating. Burial was in New Lebanon Cemetery at Tishomingo.

Survivors include her husband, Horace E. Ollie Doyle Wright, 64, of the Cairo community, died Jan. 1, 1998, at his home after an illness of lung cancer.

Services were Saturday, Jan. 3, at 2 p.m. at the New Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. J. T. Prince officiating with eulogies given by family and friends. Burial was in New Lebanon Cemetery. McMillan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Wright was a member of New Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and a retired upholstery instructor at Northeast Mississippi Community College.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Gaye Wright; his parents, Sidney V. and Alta Davis Wright; and two brothers, Ewell Wright and A. C. Wright.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann Strange Wright; one daughter, Judith W. Killough and her husband, Mark, of Booneville; one son, David R. Wright and his wife, Sharon, of Nashville, Tenn.; four grandsons, Michael Foster, John Mark Killough, Jordan Killough and Stuart Wright; three sisters, Letha Bryant and her husband, Harold Dean, Sue McNeil and her husband, L. RICHARD L. WRIGHT

FULTON - Richard L. Wright, died Friday, Sept. 23, 2005, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born Jan. 2, 1936, in Monroe County to the late Otho I. and Grace Kendrick Wright. He was self-employed in construction. He was a Baptist and a member of the Carolina Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Senter Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Howard Pearce officiating. Burial will be in New Home Cemetery.

Survivors include three daughters, Mary Roseanna Van Dyke, Amy Nicole Wright and Christi Allison Pearce, all of Fulton; two sons, Billy Ray Wright of Iuka and Michael Dale Pearce of Pontotoc; two sisters, Thelma Hood and husband, Eulon, of Baldwyn and Hazel Cross of Mooreville; a brother, Robert Earl Wright of Fulton; three grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren, four great-grandchildren; special friends, Latricia White and Deloria Ewing.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a stepmother, Oleta Wright.

Robert M. (Morgan) Wright, 86, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and was a Charter member and deacon of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Burnsville. He retired from Vendo in Corinth and worked at Century Electric and General Motors in Willow Springs, Ill.

Services were at 3 p.m. Saturday at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka with the Rev. Shane Evetts, the Rev. Joe Hardwick and Kenny Phifer officiating. Burial was in Burnsville Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Celeste Wright of Iuka; five sons, Robert Allen and Mary Sue Wright, Frankie and Dianne Wright, and Roger and Mary Ann Wright, all of

EDNA WROTEN

BOONEVILLE - Edna Lois Wroten, 90, died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 1997, at the Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth following an extended illness. - She was born Jan. 6, 1907, in Prentiss County to the late Robert Vernon Pace and Arvie Ellen South Pace. She was a homemaker and a member of New Burton Baptist Church. She and her late husband, Dexter Franklin Wroten, owned and operated Wroten's Grocery in the New Hope Community of Prentiss County for many years. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and helping other people.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Billy Criddle and Bro. Terry Scott officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery.

Survivors include two daughters, Norma Jean Denson and her husband, Arthur, of Booneville and Juanita McNutt of Tishomingo; six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Clayton Pace and True Pace; three sisters, Marie LaRossa, Ena Akers and Alma Pace.

Pallbearers will be Gary McNutt, Barry McNutt, Mackie Denson, Michael Denson, Gary Gable and Clay King.

Visitation will continue until service time at the funeral home.

CORINTH - Elizabeth Willis Nunley Wroten, 62, died Thursday, July 15, 2004, at the Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was a member of Glen Holiness Church and a teacher for Prentiss County MAP. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed praying and praising God, cooking and helping others.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Pastor Charles Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Sardis Cemetery at Rienzi.

Survivors include two sons, John Anthony Nunley, and Bill Nunley and wife, Betty Joyce, all of Rienzi; a daughter, Susan Nunley Barnett and husband, Tracy, of Rienzi; seven grandchildren, Lisa Harris and husband, Kenny, Chad Nunley, Shawn Williams, Billy Wayne Nunley, Caleb Barnett, Tristan O'Neal Nunley and Logan Barnett; two great-grandchildren, Abbie Cregeen and Kristyn Cregeen; her mother, Mary Coleman Willis McCalla of Booneville; two brothers, Billy Willis and wife, Karen, of Dover, Tenn., and the Rev. Ricky Willis and wife, Patricia, of Corinth; five sisters, Eunice Cranshaw of Moody, Ala., Anna Robertson of Corinth, and Faye Holloway and husband, Marvin, Frankie Williams, and Carolyn Arnold and husband, Gene, all of Rienzi; special friends, Jennifer Hall, Peggy Owens, Dorothy Downs, Bob Russell and Pastor Charles Cooper.

She was preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, John Wayne Nunley; her second husband, Thomas Carrol Wroten; a son, Vester O'Neal Nunley; her father, Dalton Willis; two stepfathers, Carl Grissom and Victor McCalla; her father-in-law, Lawrence Nunley; her mothers-in-law, Susie Hearn Nunley and Audie Pilgrim.

Visitation will continue until service time today at the funeral home.

 

FRED HENRY WROTEN

Fred Henry Wroten. 71. of Route 5. Box 132 Booneville, died Monday, March 23, 1992, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville.

Services were Wednesday, March 25, at 2 p.m. at Hills Chapel Church of Christ with Minister Charles Leonard and Minister Kenneth Orrick officiating. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery. Salts Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Wroten was a retired employee of Prentiss Manufacturing.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alice Wroten; a daughter, Kay Taylor of Booneville; a son. James Wroten of Natchez: a brother. Price Wroten of Muscle Shoals, Ala.; three sisters, Lucille Hunt of Cullman, Ala., Lucille Bums of Booneville and Dola Shelley of Memphis; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

 

GARY WROTEN

BOONEVILLE - Gary Justin Wroten, 57, died Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was a self-employed commercial sign painter.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Glen Jones, Bro. Greg Smart and Minister Tony Brown officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Jane Horn Wroten of Booneville; his mother, Gladys Wroten of Booneville; a sister, Linda Austin of Spring Hill, Tenn.; a granddaughter, Misty Dawn Smith of Booneville.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Tulon Wroten; a daughter, Tammie Wroten Smith; and a brother, James "Myres" Wroten.

Visitation will continue until service time today.

 

GLADYS WROTEN

BOONEVILLE - Gladys Lytal Wroten, 84, died Friday, Oct. 1, 2004, at the North Miss. Medical Center in Tupelo after an extended illness. She was a retired factory worker and a homemaker. She attended Mt. Pisgah Free Will Baptist Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Greg Smart officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.

Survivors include one daughter, Linda Austin of Spring Hill, Tenn.; a daughter-in-law, Jane Wroten of Booneville; four grandchildren, Jeannie Hatfield, Steve Wroten, Kerry Austin and Brent Austin; three great-grandchildren, Misty Smith, Jonathan Austin and James William "Will" Wroten.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tulon Wroten; her sons, Gary Wroten and James Myers Wroten; a granddaughter, Tammy Smith; four sisters, Irene Champion, Corine Goff, Christine Clark and Pauline Robinson; and two brothers, Edward Lytal and Aaron Lytal.

Visitation will continue until service time today at the funeral home.

 

IRENE WROTEN

Irene Wroten, 82, of Booneville, died Saturday, Dec. 5, 1998, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth after an extended illness.

Services were Sunday, Dec. 6, at 3 p.m. at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Elwin McCutcheon officiating. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery.

Mrs. Wroten was retired from Blue Bell and a housewife. She was a member of New Hope Primitive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arvid L. Wroten and three brothers, Ellis Shackelford, Levi Shackelford and Clovis Shackelford.

She is survived by her son, John Wroten and his wife, Peggy, of Booneville; a sister, Verna Mae Green of Tishomingo; and one granddaughter, Elizabeth Wroten of Starkville.

 

JAMES MYRES WROTEN

BOONEVILLE ‑ James Myres Wroten, 58, died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2000, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville from the results of an automobile accident. He owned and operated James M. Wroten's Signs in Booneville. He was a member of Mt. Pisgah Freewill Baptist Church and VFW Post No. 4877, He was a veteran of the U. S. Army.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Brown and Bro. Bill Moore officiating. Banal will be in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Sarah Elizabeth Gannon Woolen; one daughter. Jeannie Hatfield and her husband, David, of Booneville: one son, Steven Wroten and his wife, Jennifer, of Booneville; his mother, Gladys Wisher, of Booneville; one sister, Linda Austin of Springhill, Tenn.; one brother, Gary Wroten of Booneville two grandchildren, Jamie and Brian Thomas.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 9 p .m. today and until service time Monday.

 

L. Q. WROTEN

BOONEVILLE ‑ L.Q Wroten, 76, died Wednesday, June 7, 2000, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. He was a retired auto mechanic, a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II and a Baptist.

Services will be at 11 am, today at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Moore and the Rev. Frank Panzino officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.

Survivors include a sister-in‑law, Gladys Wroten of Booneville; four nieces, Linda Austin of Franklin. Tenn., Betty Crabb of Okolona, Dean Hisaw of Booneville and Ouida Wilson of Corinth, six nephews, James M. Wroten of Booneville, Gary Wroten of Booneville, Billy Crabb of Tupelo, Roy Walden of Burnsville, Odean Walden of Columbus and Ray Wheeler of Tupelo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, S. M. and Idella Wroten, five sisters, Florence Huddleston, Zora Crabb, Beulah Walden, Effie Wheeler and Sibyl Wroten: and two brothers, Lee W mien and Tulon Wroten.

L.C. WROTEN

BOONEVILLE – Lavanus Clarence “L.C.” Wroten, 82, died Sunday, April 3, 2005, at his home. He was born April 22, 1922, in Tishomingo County to Thomas Harley Wroten and Lilly Pearl Beard Wroten. He was a Baptist. He owned and operated Wroten Electronics and Universal Electronics in Booneville, and worked as a greeter at Wal-Mart on North Gloster Street in Tupelo for the past five years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. today at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Buddy Marshall will officiate.

Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Drummond Wroten; five children, Arthur Mass of Asheville, N.C., Thomas Wroten of Baldwyn, Eileen Moore and husband, Gordon, of Booneville, Cathy Cartwright and husband, Paul, of Victoria, and Joe Armstrong of Nashville, Tenn.; five grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren.

RICHARD WROTEN

NEW ALBANY - Richard Keith Wroten, 47, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004, at his residence. He was born Nov. 11, 1956, in Baldwyn to the late Vernon and Wynez Wroten. He was formerly associated with WNAU Radio Station. He was a Methodist.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the United Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Giles Lindley officiating. Burial will be in the Vista Memorial Cemetery.

Survivors include an aunt, Roberta Davis and her husband, Roy, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; several cousins, Emily Wooten, Carole Klimesch, Bob Davis, Vikki Shumake and Jay Clark, all of Chattanooga, and Evelyn Butler of Booneville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Keith Wroten and Wynez Gardner Wroten.

Pallbearers will be David Snyder, Tim Speck, Bill Wilson, John Diaz, Ken Shumake and Gary Roberts.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

ROBERT WROTEN

Robert Wroten Died Wednesday

Death came to Robert Wayne Wroten last Wednesday at his home near Siloam after a few weeks of illness. His health had been declining for several months.

Mr. Wroten was born 16 April 1852, and would soon have reached his 88th birthday. He was the youngest of 12 children and all have now passed on. He was born and reared within a half mile of where he lived at the time of his death. He was a faithful and devoted member of the Methodist Church at Siloam and always did all he could to advance its interests. He was a most loyal citizen and always did what he could to promote the interest and development of his county and community. He was loved and highly respected by all with whom he had dealings.

He is survived by two sons, S. M. and E. C., three daughters, Mrs. Will Vandevander, Mrs. Seth Pounds and Mrs. W. W. Clark all of whom reside in Prentiss County, and a large number of other relatives, one a nephew, Bro. J. D. Wroten pastor of the First Methodist Church in Columbus.

Many friends came to Siloam last Tuesday afternoon to pay a tribute of love and respect. The funeral services were conducted by Bro. W. L. Robinson, pastor of the Booneville Methodist Church and at the conclusion of the services his body was laid away in Siloam Cemetery. His newly made grave was covered with a profusion of rare, beautiful flowers, attesting to the high esteem in which he was held by those who knew and loved him.

CLARA FAYE WYLIE

BOONEVILLE - Clara Faye Wylie, 79, died Friday, July 1, 2005, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. She was born May 17, 1926, to Mose Clarence Horton and Eula M. Hindman Horton. She was a machine operator at Prentiss Manufacturing for 20 years. She also was a waitress and a caregiver of the elderly. She was a member of Carolina United Methodist Church. She lived in Cumberland, Tenn., for about 30 years prior to returning to Booneville in 1996. She enjoyed shopping, cooking and socializing with her friends. She loved people. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Wylie, on Feb. 2, 1996.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Danny Minnix officiating. Burial will be in East Prentiss Cemetery.

Survivors include a daughter, Rita Jones and husband, Dirley, of Booneville; a son, Sammy Joe Smith and wife, Kelly, of Quinton, Ala.; three grandchildren, Ashli and Brandon Jones, and C.J. Smith; a sister, Louise Olive of Booneville; two sisters-in-law, Irma Jean Horton of New Site and Geneva Lucy of Thrasher; numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces and cousins.

DAN WYLIE

OXFORD - Dan Harvey Wylie, 84, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004, at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford after a brief illness. He was a native of Tupelo and a former resident of Blue Mountain. He worked as a salesman with Top Value Stamps and Hancock Fabrics. A U.S. Army Air Corps veteran, he flew a P-38 fighter plane in the European Theater during World War II. He was a member of the Mormon Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Bro. Charlie Ward and Bro. Danny Sikes officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.

Survivors include his former wife, Marie Horn of Booneville; two daughters, Susan Wilson and husband, Jeff, of Huntsville, Ala., and Jan Kirlew of New Jersey; two stepdaughters, Euvon Byrd and husband, Arthur, and Shelia Russell and husband, Jerry, all of Booneville; a brother, Alva Lewis Wylie II of Greenwood; seven grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Arthur Byrd, Jeff Wilson, Jonathon Wilson, Danny Sikes, Jerry Russell and Roman Russell.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from noon to service time Wednesday.

 

LOWELL BOSTICK WYNN

IUKA - Lowell Bostick Wynn, 56, died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003, after a brief illness. He was a former special education teacher for Tishomingo County for 18 years. He was then self-employed with Watkins Products until his further illness. He was a Baptist and had served as a deacon. He enjoyed community service projects. He was a Gideon and a former Lions Club Member. He served on the board of directors of the Community Action Agency of Booneville for 10 years.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at the Ludlam Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka with Bro. Eddie Flowers, Bro. James Richardson and Bro. Stanley Magill officiating. Burial will be in the New Prospect Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine Davis Wynn of Iuka; one brother, James Ed Wynn of Iuka; two sisters, Dorothy Lambert and Betty Jones, both of Iuka; his father-in-law, Elam Davis; his sister- and brother-in-law, Janice and Sammie Harwell; five nieces; two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Edward and Maude Wynn.

 

RUTH WYNN

Iuka - Ruth Wynn, 74, died Thursday August 31, 2000 at the Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home in Iuka.

She was retired from the Tishomingo County Department of Human Services after 48 years. She was a member of Spring Hill United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by, her parents, Walter, Sr. and Lota Wynn, a sister Wanda Walker, of Iuka Ms, a brother Walter Wynn, of Iuka, Ms, a niece Sarah Carmack, of  Huntsville AL, a nephew Frank Walker, of Iuka, Ms, a Step Niece Tina Monroe, of Burnsville Ms, a step nephew Jeff Schroeder, of Iuka, Ms, a great Niece Samantha Walker, of Iuka, Ms.

Visitation will be from 5 - 9 p.m. Thursday, August 31, will continue until service time Friday

Funeral services, 3 p.m. Friday September 1, at the Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. J. B. Burns and Rev. Dwain Whitehurst, will officiate

Burial will be in New Prospect Cemetery.
