In the death of
Her husband only lived a few years after their
marriage, leaving a good woman with two small children,
Mrs. Wright came of hardy long-lived people, her father, Alex McCreary, living to be 95 years old, and she now has living two brothers, Andy, who is past 90 years of age, and Will, who is 84, and one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Cox, who is 80.

death of Mrs. Clarissa Wright at her home in Booneville Monday Morning,
Booneville and
Her husband only lived a few years after their marriage, leaving a good
woman with two small children, Bro. P. G. Wright, who is now teaching in
Mrs. Wright came
of hardy long-lived people, her father, Alex McCreary, living to be 95 years
old, and she now has living two brothers, Andy, who is past 90 years of age,
and Will, who is 84, and one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Cox, who is 80.

Death Comes to Bro. J. M. Wright Monday
Bro. J. M. Wright, aged 72, of East Prentiss, passed away at
the
Mr. Wright and
his estimable family moved into Prentiss County in 1900, coming from Franklin
County,
Mr. Wright came
of sturdy pioneer stock, his grandfather, having been a soldier of the American
Revolution, under the command of General Francis Marion.
Early in life Mr. Wright became
a member of the Baptist church and for more than 40 years had been a minister
of the gospel. He was frank, earnest and sincere; honorable and upright in his
dealings with his fellowman. He was firm in his convictions and always ready to
take a stand for the better things of life. He leaves a heritage to his
splendid family, a life well spent, one of his sons, standing by the open
casket said "My father was a wise counselor; we boys, will miss his loving
advice and counsel; to us, he was all a father should be." No greater
compliment could be paid any parent.

Robert Wroten Died Wednesday
Death came to Robert Wayne Wroten last
Wednesday at his home near Siloam after a few weeks of illness. His health had
been declining for several months.
Mr. Wroten was born
16 April 1852, and would soon have reached his 88th birthday. He was the
youngest of 12 children and all have now passed on. He was born and reared
within a half mile of where he lived at the time of his death. He was a
faithful and devoted member of the
He is survived by two sons, S. M. and E. C., three daughters, Mrs. Will
Vandevander, Mrs. Seth Pounds and
Mrs. W. W. Clark all of whom reside in Prentiss County, and a large number of other
relatives, one a nephew, Bro. J. D. Wroten pastor
of the First Methodist Church in Columbus.
Many friends came to Siloam last Tuesday afternoon to pay a tribute of
