GERALD QUAIF

BELMONT - Gerald Harry Quaif, 65, died Monday, Jan. 17, 2005, at his home. He was a native of Cooperstown, N.Y. He was a truck driver.

A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Golden Central Baptist Church in Golden. Deaton Funeral Home of Belmont is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Joanne Quaif of Belmont; three daughters, Lori Quaif of LaBelle, Fla., Mary Beth Quaif of Golden and Nichole Lynn Quaif of Belmont; three sons, Jeffery Scott Quaif, and Gerald Paul Quaif and wife, Anita, all of Moorehaven, Fla., and Shawn Lee Quaif of Golden; two sisters, Jean Richards and Suzie Quaif; two brothers, Bobby Quaif and Jack Quaif; his mother, Romaine Richer; three grandchildren, Carolyn Evans and Ashley Jones of Moorehaven, Fla., and Timothy James Faris of Golden.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Quaif.

 

NANCY QUALLS

FULTON - Nancy Leona Qualls, 86, died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2003, at the North Miss. Medical Center. She was born Dec.. 7, 1916, in Itawamba County to Woodie Webb and Tula Harden. She was a retired factory worker. Her mother passed away when she was nine years old so she learned how to cook, sew and care for younger sisters. She was a member of the Beans Ferry Church of Christ. She loved her family and they all loved her. She was truly a wonder person.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today at the Senter Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Andy Killian and Minister Steve Shapli officiating. Burial will be in the Clover Ridge Cemetery.

Survivors include one daughter, Betty Qualls of Union City, Tenn.; two sisters, Nell Clayton of Fulton and Charlene Webb of Baldwyn; her caregivers, Ronnie and Shelia Clayton of Fulton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Qualls; her parents; one sister, Odell Webb; and one brother, Homer Harden.

Pallbearers will be Don Clayton, Ronnie Clayton, Randy Tucker, Steve Johnson, Belton Brazil and Lewis Robinson.

Visitation will be from 7:30 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

 

JOHN QUILLEN

DENNIS - John Quillen, 53, died Sunday, March 27, 2005, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi in Oxford. He was a native of Tishomingo County. He was a disabled veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Baptist church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Belmont with Bro. Doyle Ferrell and Bro. Billy Burge officiating. Burial will be in Joel Cemetery.

Survivors include his father, Harold Quillen and wife, Imogene, of Dennis; his mother, Margaret Smith of Shawnee, Okla.; two sisters, Linda Norris and husband, Lynn, of Brandon, and Cindy Bailey and husband, Sparky, of Dennis; a brother, Kent Quillen of Dennis; a stepsister, Angie Kline and husband, Tim, of Memphis; his grandmother, Christine Meyer of Shawnee, Okla.; three aunts, Mildred Outlaw and Elaine Brackeen, both of Dennis, and Idabell Vandevander of Booneville; a niece, Nikki Sanders of Dennis; three nephews, Chris Long and wife, Andrea, of Saltillo, Derek Long and wife, Christy, of Tupelo, and Trevor Bailey of Dennis; two great-nieces, two great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, the Rev. J.E. Quillen and Fred Meyer.

Pallbearers will be Jackie Quillen, Jimmy Quillen, Chris Long, Derek Long, Sparky Bailey and Lynn Norris.

Trevor Bailey will be an honorary pallbearer.

Visitation will continue until service time today at the funeral home.
