Rites For E. E. KAISER Held On Friday

            Services for E. E. Kaiser of Corinth, Route 4, were held at 8:30 a.m. Friday in Bethel Methodist Church in Alcorn County with the Revs. James Perry and W. L. Lay officiating. Burial was in the Bel­mont Cemetery with McPeters Fu­neral Home in charge. Tie was 76.

            Mr. Kaiser, who formerly was employed far the Federal Barge Line in Memphis, died at 3:39 p.m. Wednesday, March 18 in Corinth Hospital after, an illness of seven months.

Ire leaves his wife, Mrs. Ila Edith Milligan Kaiser, to whom he was married in 1913, at Corinth; and a brother, Clifford Kizer of Booneville.

CHARLES KAY

IUKA - Charles H. Kay, 68, died Saturday, April 23, 2005. He was a Methodist and a volunteer Bible teacher at the Freedom House Drug and Alcohol Treatment Center in Russellville, Ala., for six years. He was an entrepreneur and real estate developer. He enjoyed reading his Bible and studying scripture, and was known for helping others.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka with Bro. Del Blackman officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Kay of Iuka; his mother, Vada Kay of Iuka; a son, Chuck Kay of Iuka; a daughter, LeAnne Jones of Iuka; two stepdaughters, Dana Harville and Jill Harville, both of Savannah, Tenn.; a brother, Jerry Lee Kay of Atlanta, Ga.; four grandchildren, Mallory Harber, Daniel Harber, Kayla Jones and David Jones, all of Iuka.

He was preceded in death by his father, Herman H. Kay.

Pallbearers will be Harold Taylor, Jimmy Marlin, Benji Gaines, Ted Day, Neil Davis and Shane Montgomery.

Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Sweeney, Gene Waddey, James White, James Grisham and L.O. Bishop.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

JAMES HAROLD (TOBY) KAY

James Harold (Toby) Kay, 85 of Iuka died Friday December 17, 1999 at the Iuka Hospital. He was born August 14, 1914 in Tishomingo County, the youngest child of Charles Everett Kay and Florence Dixie Moser Kay.  He was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church.  Mr. Kay was a former member of the Iuka Lions Club and the owner of Kay's Southland Service Station.

Mr. Kay was preceded in death by Charles Everett Kay and Florence Dixie Moser Kay; two brothers, Odell Kay and Herman Kay; two sisters, Addie Lee Kay Sanders and Estelle Kay Barnes.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Edra W. Kay of Iuka; 1 son, Harold Dean Kay and wife Ann Nixon Kay of Tupelo, Ms; 3 Grandchildren, Katherine Kay Jones and husband Robert Jones of Water Valley, Ms., Caron Kay Blanton and husband Danny Blanton of Goodman, Ms., and Jennifer Kay of New Orleans, LA., and 2 Great Grandchildren, Breck Matthew Jones and Autumn Faith Jones of Water Valley, Ms.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 18 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Cutshall Funeral Home, Iuka.

Funeral service will be held Sunday, December 19, at 1 p.m. at the Cutshall Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gene Vance and Rev. W. T. Dexter officiating.  Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

BENJAMIN PERRY KAYE

Benjamin Perry Kaye, 53, of Tishomingo, died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 1985, at the Tishomingo County Hospital.

Services were Thursday, Oct. 31, at Salts Funeral Home chapel in -Tishomingo with Bro. Donald Rhodes officiating. Burial was in Forest Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Kaye was a long-time radio broadcaster who worked for stations in Booneville, Corinth, Iuka and Hamilton, Ala. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Billie Ruth Kaye; two sons, Donnie Kaye of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Benny Lynn Kaye of Iuka; his mother, Mrs. Dovie Kaye of Tishomingo; four sisters, Mrs. Betty Cosby and Mrs. Eleanor Floyd, both of Tishomingo, Mrs. Carolyn Ligon of Iuka and Mrs. Marilyn 'Elliott of Booneville; four brothers, Franklin Kaye of Iuka, Dayton Kaye, Raynor Kaye and Reeder Kaye, all of Tishomingo; and one grandchild.

LILLY MAY KEENUM

BOONEVILLE - Lilly May Keenum, 84, died Monday, March 21, 2005, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. She was born May 23, 1920, in Prentiss County. She was a retired farm worker and a member of Martin Hill Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed growing flowers and gardening.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Terry Booker officiating. Burial will be in Martin Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Ozbirn and husband, Danny, of Rienzi; a son, Charles Keenum and wife, Jo Ann, of Glen; three grandchildren, Donna Morgan of Rienzi, Ross Keenum of Glen and Ryan Keenum of Wichita, Kan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, R.B. Keenum, on March 4, 1989; her parents, George Cornelius Barnes and Mary Lafayette Boren Barnes; and three sisters, Lola, Lula and Lois Barnes.

Pallbearers will be Keith Carter, Harold Jones, Arlis Wheeler, Roger Perkerson, Roy D. Ozbirn and Nathan Perkerson.

OLLIE MAE KEENUM

BOONEVILLE - Ollie Mae Keenum, 85, died Friday at the Baptist Hospital in Booneville after an extended illness. She was a homemaker and a member of the Jumpertown Methodist Church. She was the widow of Willie Luther Keenum.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Jumpertown Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert McCoy officiating. Burial will be in the Jumpertown Cemetery. McMillan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include one sister, Velma Rinehart of Memphis.

MRS. SYBIL JUMPER KEENUM

Mrs. Sybil Jumper Keenum,'80, of Route 3, Booneville, died Saturday, June 29, 1985, at St, Paul Hospital in Dallas, Texas, following a short illness.,

Services were Monday, July 1, at 2 p.m. at McMillan Funeral Home chapel with, Johnny Richardson and James McGhee officiating. Burial was in Jumpertown Cemetery.

Mrs. Keenum was s the widow of Claude Keenum. She was a housewife and a member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by five sons, Hollis Keenum, Thomas Keenum and nd Conley Keenum, all of Booneville, Kermit Keenum of Brunswick, Ga., and Keith Jumper of Gadsden, Ala.; two daughters, Miss Emma Jean Keenum of Brunswick, Ga., and Mrs. Hattie Ann McGhee of Dallas, Texas; a brother, Hollis Jumper of Blytheville, Ark.; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Michael of Booneville, Mrs. Hattie Louise Morris of Tupelo and Mrs. Julia Brinkley of Oklahoma City, Okla; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

BRENDA KEETON

BOONEVILLE - Brenda Sue Keeton, 46, died Saturday, April 3, 2004, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. She was born June 8, 1957, to Sadie Mae Leach and the late Clarence Leach. She was a member of Ruben Chapel CME Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Ruben Chapel CME Church with the Rev. Henry Damons and the Rev. Ada Christian officiating. Burial will be in the Wolf Creek Cemetery in Booneville. Agnew and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her husband, Frankie Keeton of Booneville; two daughters, Franda Billups and husband, William, of Tupelo, and Breanna Keeton of Booneville; a stepson, Nicholas Miller and wife, Tequila; a step grandson, Reggie Miller of Baldwyn; her mother, Sadie Mae Leach; two sisters, Debra Sue Young and husband, Robert, and Linda Sue Young and husband, Travis, all of Booneville; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Young of Booneville; a brother, Tyrone Chandler and wife, Debra, of Baldwyn; a special friend, Jerry Chambers.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Leach; a brother, James Howard Young; and a daughter, LaCoria Clarice Leach.

Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to service.

WHEELER ‑ Helen Martin Kee­ton, 96, died Friday, April 14, 2000, at the Baldwyn Nursing Facility after a long illness. She was a homemak­er and a member of Wheeler Baptist Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Forrest Sheffield and Dr. Lynn Jones officiating. Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery.

Survivors include two sons, Billy M. Keeton and his wife, Jean, of Tupelo, and Jerry M. Keeton and his wife, Josie, of Wheeler; two sisters. Willie Martin Via of Booneville and Mildred Martin Ryan of Memphis, one brother, Jack Martin of Booneville; two grandchildren, Joe Mack Keeton of Wheeler and Dr. Lisa Keeton and her husband, David Taylor, of Birmingham, Ala.

She was preceded m death by her husband, Winner E.Keeton;herpar­ents Ernest and Carrie Marlin; and five brothers, Guy, Sale, Bruce, Wal­ter and Ralph Martin.

BELMONT - Richard Keeton, 53, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2004, at his residence. He was born in Mississippi to the late Hester Lee Keeton and Monie Lu Farris Keeton. He was an employee of Wrangler for 27 years.

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Fairview Holy Church of Christ with Bro. Kevin Rogers and Bro. Buddy Fuller officiating. Burial will be in the Butler Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home of Belmont is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include three brothers, Billy Keeton and wife, Barbara, of Red Bay, Ala., Leburn Keeton and wife, Sharon, of Vina, Ala., and Gary Keeton and wife, Marsha, of Fairview; a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Damion Keeton, Ricky Mink, Leburn Keeton, Gary Keeton, Leroy Gann and Stephen Keeton.

Tommy L. "Bang" Keeton, 33, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, at his home.

Services were Thursday, Oct. 12, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Olive M. B. Church with the Rev. Wayne Myles officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Agnew and Sons Funeral Home of Baldwyn was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Keeton was a member of Mt. Olive M. B. Church.

He is survived by one daughter, Jelissa Shinault of Booneville; one son, Steven O. Burress of Booneville; his stepfather, Charles Bell of Ripley; three sisters, Marie Kee­ton and Aundrea Keeton, both of Booneville and Sonya Mc­Gaughy of Baldwyn; three brothers, Sammy Keeton, Danny Keeton and Steven McGaughy, all of Booneville; and his grandfather, James Young of Baldwyn.

WILLIAM KEETON

DENNIS - William Vernon Keeton, 62, died Tuesday, May 18, 2004, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was born Jan. 10, 1942, in Mississippi. He was a janitor and a factory worker for 25 years. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Belmont with Bro. Scott Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Butler Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Keeton of Dennis; a daughter, Pam Keeton of Tupelo; a son, David Keeton of Mooreville; four brothers, Gary Keeton and wife, Marsha, of Fulton, Billy Keeton and wife, Barbara, Leburn Keeton and wife, Sharon, all of Red Bay, Ala., and Richard Keeton of Belmont; four grandchildren, eight nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hester and Monilu Keeton, and a brother, Jackie Keeton.

RAY A. KEITH

            BELDEN ‑ Ray A. Keith, 76, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2002, at his home in Belden after a long illness. He was born July 26, 1926, in Shannon to the late Cecil Cleve land Keith and Abbey Pearl Ofts Keith. He grew up in Shannon and graduated from Shannon High School. He began his nearly 40 year career with Bell South as a line man/repairman. He later worked on a toll test board and was an area super visor when he retired in 1985. During his career with Bell South, he lived in Corinth, Tupelo, Shannon and Belden, While living in Tupelo, he was a member of the First Baptist Church. After moving to Belden 27 years ago, he became a member of Belden Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and active in the choir and the bus ministry. He also served on the pulpit committee that brought the present pastor to the church. After retiring, he became an active volunteer fire fighter and served as chief of the Belden Volunteer Fire Department for 12 years. He also was the Lee County fire coordinator and was instrumental in the organization of the purchase of 18 fire/emergency units for various communities in Lee County. On July 18, 2002, the Lee County Board of Supervisors, stale insurance commissioner George Dale, and his peers and colleagues honored him fur his years of dedicated work serving the emergency needs of Lee County. He was a weather watcher for the Civil Defense and a 32nd Degree Mason, and had been ac five with the Pioneers of America.

            Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Belden Baptist Church with Dr. Don Beggett officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements,

            Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Undoes Holder Keith of Belden; a daughter, Jo Ann Keith of Little Rack, Ark; two sons, Kenneth Ray Keith and his wife, Corinne, and John Richard Keith, all of Belden; a sister, Josephine Muffins of Nettleton; two grandchildren, Lisa Baggett and her husband, Anthony, of Tupelo, and Brian Keith of Corinth.

            He was preceded in death by his par ants and a sister, Dorothy King.

BOONEVILLE ‑ Donald Kelley, 65, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness He was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church where he served as deacon and Sunday school teacher. He was a U. S. Army veteran. He was a telephone filed engineer for BE&K and Viatech.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Excail Burleson and Bro. Milton Koon officiating, Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Wynette Fugitt Kelley of Booneville; his son, Mike Kelley and his wife, Saundra, of Booneville; his sister, Charlene Church and her husband, Melvin, of Booneville; his grandson, Michael Kelley; several nieces and nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vedas and Naomi Kelley.

CORINTH - Mary Kathryn Kelley, 75, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2003, at the Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was a homemaker and a member of Christ Temple Apostolic Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Christ Temple Apostolic Church with the Rev. Clay Hall and the Rev. Johnny Staton officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorial Funeral Home of Corinth is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her daughters, Linda Stark and James of Campbell, Mo., Mary Fortner and Kent of Suffolk, Va., Ludene Jones and Monty of Owensboro, Ky., Leta DePoty and Lois Jones, both of Corinth, and Teresa Bishop and Bradley of Richmond, Va.; her son, Gene Kelley and Deana of Tucson, Ariz.; four sisters, Dorothy Fox, Betty Thomson, Tommie Wiggs and Marie Ramsey, all of California; a brother, Spencer Wiggs of Waynesboro, Tenn.; 18 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Kelley; a son, Donald Lynn Kelley; and her parents, Grady and Maude Wiggs.

VIRGIL KELLEY

Virgil Davis Kelley, 70, of Jumpertown, died unexpectedly at his home Monday, May 11, 1998.

Services were Wednesday, May 13, at 1 p.m. at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tim Green officiating. Burial was in Jumpertown Cemetery.

Mr. Kelley was retired from North Mississippi Uniform Rental in Booneville and was a Methodist. He was preceded in death by his parent Mikey and Eliza Hunt Kelley; four sisters, Valker Jackson, Vivian Guin Vera Jackson and Vailyer Brinkley; and four brothers, Vurtas Kelley Vclus Kelley, Vewell Kelley and Vance Kelly.

He is survived by three sisters-in-law, Vivian Kelley of Booneville, Valrie Kelley of New Albany and Avie Kelley of Baldwyn; and a host c nieces and nephews.

His nephew served as pallbearers.

MARY KELLY

BOONEVILLE - Mary Henrietta "Ma" Kelly, 103, died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002, at the Baldwyn Nursing Facility. She was a homemaker and a member of Christ United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading her Bible and gardening. She was the widow of R. H. "Judge" Kelly.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Christ United Methodist Church with the Rev. Keith Gaughf officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. McMillan Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include four daughters, Bernie Palmer, Mary Smith, Katie Anderson and her husband, William, and Edith Morris and her husband, Don; three sons, Roy Kelly, L. H. "Jim" Kelly and his wife, Barbara, and Jerry Kelly and his wife, Eunice; a daughter-in-law, Elois Kelly; 30 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; three sons, Fred, Herman and Robert Kelly; two daughters, Annie L. Kelly and Hermie Morgan; two daughters-in-law, Vivian Kelly and Louise Kelly; and three sons-in-law, Dewitt Palmer, John W. Smith and Hill Morgan.

MARY PAULINE CALDWELL KELLY

Mary Pauline Caldwell Kelly, 81, of New Albany, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001, at the Daniels Nursing Home in Fulton. Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 3. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery near Sherman.

Local survivors include a son, Clarence Kelly of Booneville.

ROBERT KELLY

BOONEVILLE ‑ Robert Kelly, 83, died Saturday, April 1, 2000, at his residence in the Blackland community after an extended illness. He was born May 21, 1916, in Union County to the late R. H. (Judge) and Jenny Kent Kelly He was a member at Christ United Methodist Church. He was a 32nd degree Mason, York Rite Bodies and recently received his 50 year pin from Booneville Masonic Lodge No. 305. He was a World War II veteran and a member of Prentiss County Welfare Board. He was a retired farmer and factory employee and part-time employee of Wal‑Mart.

Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Waters Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Owen officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery with Masonic Rites.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Elois Rutherford Kelly of the Blackland community; four daughters, Shirley Hare and her husband, Roy, Elaine Stevens and her hus­band, Mike, and Teresa Green, all of Booneville and Nancy Walker of Corinth; four sons, Robert Dale Kelly and his wife, Marilyn, Gregory Stephen Kelly and Joseph Mark Kelly, all of Booneville and Larry Keith Kelly and his wife, Donna, of Rienzi; three brothers, Jim Kelly. VIVIAN L. KELLY

Vivian L. Kelly, 67, of Booneville, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville after an extended illness.

Services were Tuesday, Nov. 28, at 1 p.m. at McMillan Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Kelly officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Kelly was retired from Parker‑Hannifin and attended the Church by Christ Jesus. She was preceded in death by one brother, Leon Leonard.

She is survived by her husband, Roy Kelly; three daughters, Susan Jolly of Booneville, Deanna Mason of Plantersville and Deborah Kelly of Starkville; one son, David Kelly of Booneville; three sisters, Elizabeth Owens of Booneville, Jane Thomason of Wheeler and Maudie Smith of Athens, Tenn.; one brother, Jimmy Davis of Jonesboro, Ark.; eight grandchildren, Michael Knight, Kimberly Estes, Steven Estes, Stephanie Estes, Ryan Kelly, Taylor Kelly, Cole Mason and Phillip Jolly; and a host of nieces and nephews.

JIM KELLUM

BOONEVILLE - James Harold "Jim" Kellum, 68, died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004, at his home. He was born June 28, 1936, in Sturgis to James L. and Alma Pearl Blantom Kellum. He was a member and deacon of the First Christian Church in Baldwyn. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a retired grocery store manager. He enjoyed fishing, working in his yard and reading his Bible.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe Caraway and Bro. Tom Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Prentiss Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Rose Franzen Kellum, whom he married April 2, 1956; three sons, David Kellum and wife, Gail, and Mark Kellum and wife, Loretta, all of Booneville, and Paul Kellum and wife, Sharron, of Nettleton; two daughters, Lydia Kellum Storey and husband, Tommy, of New Site and Mary Kellum of Booneville; three brothers, Marvin Kellum and wife, Mary Ellen, of Brewer, Jimmy Kellum and wife, Peggy, of Columbus, and Donnie Kellum and wife, Denise, of Starkville; a sister, Geneva Green of Columbus; 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.

TUPELO – Charlene Kelso, 81, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005, at her home in Tupelo after a long illness. A longtime tupelo resident, she was born Aug. 1, 1923, in Itawamba County to the late Thomas and Severa Jones Taylor. She was a retired decorator for Sears. She also worked for Stanley Products for many years. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, where she was active in her Sunday School class. She loved her family and friends and was very much a “people person.”

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with the Rev. Don McCain and the Rev. Hershel Wiygul officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Kelso and wife, Emily, of Hopkinsville, Ky., and Larry J. James Olen "Jim" Keltner, 34, of Booneville, died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2000, at the North Mississippi Medical Center.

Funeral services for Danny Lee (Kendrick of Booneville were conducted Thursday afternoon in Calvary Baptist Church in Booneville with Rev. T. F. Grubbs officiating. Burial was in Oak Lawn Memorial Park cemetery with McMillan Funeral Directors in charge.

Danny, 21-month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Kendrick of Booneville, died at LeBonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis on Wednesday, February 26, 1964, following surgery for a heart defect he had had since birth.

Besides his parents, he leaves his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bondy Kendrick and Mr. and Mrs. Buford Smith, all of Booneville.

            She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She went to school in Butte Montana through the 11th grade.  She graduated from the 12th grade at Kossuth High School.  She graduated from college at Mississippi State University.  She was married for 25 years.  She was a retired elementary school teacher from Kossuth where she taught for 22 years, and out of the 22 years she taught first grade for 21 years.  She was an accomplished pianist and she loved her family and friends and enjoyed helping and encouraging others

Vera Lee Kennedy, 90, of Booneville, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2002, at Beverly Health Care in Ripley after a brief illness. Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 10 Burial was in Liberty Cemetery.

There were no local survivors.

VESTER KENNEDY

BOONEVILLE - Vester Lee "Fox" Kennedy, 61, died Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born July 25, 1943, in Prentiss County to Harbert and Audrey Ridge Kennedy. He was a retired upholsterer in the furniture industry and a Mason. He was an avid outdoorsman and a C.B. radio enthusiast.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Vanderford and Bro. Roy Joshlin officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Frankie Owens Kennedy; a son, Jason Kennedy and wife, Teresa, of Booneville; a grandson, Zepplin Kennedy of Booneville; three sisters, Cordelia Taylor of Corinth, Betty Sue Curry and husband, Gerald, of Pickwick, and Wanda Jean Weaver of Gulfport; five brothers, Tommy Kennedy and wife, Jean, Herbert Kennedy and wife, Carmon, and Randel Kennedy, all of Corinth, Jerry Kennedy of Florida, and Butch Kennedy and wife, Doris, of Booneville; a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Mack and Tim Kennedy.

His nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will continue until service time today.

BILLY KENT

NEW ALBANY - Billy Lee Kent, 75, died Wednesday, July 13, 2005, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County. He was born June 25, 1930, in Union County to the late Vivian M. Kent and Icie Hardy Kent. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the American Legion. He was the owner of Kent Auto Sales and a salesman for Windham Appliances. He was a member and deacon of Locust Grove Baptist Church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at United Funeral Service Chapel with Dr. Gerald Hodges and the Rev. Toby Smitherman officiating. Burial will be in Vista Memorial Park.

Survivors include his wife, Jonnie Smith Kent of New Albany; a son, Tim Kent and wife, Shellie, of New Albany; a sister, Bernice Waters and husband, Doug, of Baldwyn; a brother, Bondy Kent and wife, Louise, of New Albany; five grandchildren, Chris Bridges, Amy Bridges, Kristin Kent, Kevin Kent and Austin Kent; two great-grandchildren, Peyton Bridges and Spencer Bridges.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Cindy Kent Bridges; and two brothers, Boyce Kent and Buel Kent.

BARBARA KENT

CORINTH - Barbara Talley Kent, 47, died Thursday, April 8, 2004, at the University Medical Center in Indianapolis, Ind. She moved to Indianapolis in 1995, having lived in Corinth most of her life. She was property manager for Colliers, Turley, Martin and Tucker in Indianapolis. She attended Shady Grove Baptist Missionary Church with her family. She enjoyed traveling.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Vanderford and the Rev. Pete Wooley officiating. Burial will be in the Henry Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, William A. Kent of Franklin, Ind.; her mother, Eloise H. Talley of Corinth; two brothers, Eddy Talley of Corinth and Billy Talley and his wife, Deborah, of Memphis; two aunts, Beatrice Phillips and Kathryn Mason and her husband, Harold; three uncles, Clarence Hinton and his wife, Sarah, Buddy Hinton and his wife, Sandra, and Lowell Hinton and his wife, Frances; a host of nieces, nephews and other family.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Timleck; and her father, Quinton Talley.

CORINTH - James L. Kerby Jr., 38, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004, at the Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth. He was born June 20, 1966, in Alabama to James L. Kerby Sr. and Darlene Krimmel Kerby. He was a driver for Mid-South Movers. He enjoyed motorcycles, baseball, swimming and working on cars.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at W. T. Wilson Funeral Home in Rainsville, Ala. Burial will be in Towncreek Cemetery in Rainsville. Corinthian Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Jean Rickman Kerby of Corinth; his mother, Darlene Kerby Dulany of Alabama; a son, James Kerby III of McGee; a daughter, Amanda Nicole Kerby of Corinth; a stepdaughter, Krystal Lasagy Cook of Corinth; two brothers, David Allen Kerby and Carl Aaron Kerby of Alabama; a stepbrother, Donald W. A. Vest of Alabama; a sister, Angel Annajean Baker of Alabama; a half sister, Christine E. Seese of Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his father, James L. Kerby Sr., and a brother, Michael Parrish.

BALDWYN - Danny Joe Kesler, 49, died Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at his home. He was born May 26, 1955, in Baldwyn to Leland and Mary Dean Grammar Kesler. He was an electrician and an active member of Worship Center Independent Baptist Church. He was a member of the Landowners Association Hunting Club, serving as president for 12 years. An avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed all outdoor activities, and spending time with his son and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Kesler Funeral Home Chapel in Baldwyn with Bro. Robert Wood, Bro. Rex Bullock and Bro. Marty Roberts officiating. Burial will be in East Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Baldwyn.

RIENZI - Bettie Geneale Ketcham, 68, died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004, at the North Miss. Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born Aug. 6, 1935, in Alcorn County to the late Les and Frances Dilworth Phillips. She was a member of the Alcorn County School Board for 22 years and at present was serving as president. She was a dedicated member who put her position as priority. She attended Biggersville High School and graduated from Kossuth High School. She was a graduate of Methodist School of Nursing in Memphis and was the industrial nurse for Wurlitzer Co. for 20 years. She later worked with a home health program.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the McPeters Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Glover officiating. Burial will be in the Corinth National Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Billy Wayne Ketcham; one sister, Leeta Phillips Perkins of Corinth; a brother-in-law, J.D.. RIPLEY - Hughey J. "Junior " Ketchum Jr., 63, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2003, at his home in Ripley. He was in construction for the Chattanooga Class Company Inc. He was a Baptist and a veteran of the United States Armed Forces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hughey J. and Flora Crum Ketchum Sr.; one sister, Donnie Cosby; and two grandchildren, Randa Joe Ketchum and Toni Lynn Ketchum.

BOONEVILLE LE‑Aera Samantha Sweeney Key, 83, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2000, at Beverly Health Care Nursing Home in Ripley She was a member of the Church of Christ and a native of Prentiss County. She was the widow of Vernon "Red" Key, to whom she was marred 63 years. She enjoyed sewing, traveling and working with flowers

BETTIE COX KEY

Bettie Cox Key, 87, of Baldwyn, died Tuesday, March 16, 1999, at her home after an extended illness.

Services were Thursday, March 18, at 1 p.m. at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Greg Smart and the Rev. Mark Cagle officiating. Burial was in East Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.

Mrs. Key was a member of East Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy C. Key, and three sons, Johnny Key and twins, Boyce and Boyd Key.

She is survived by four daughters, Joyce Golembreski and her husband, Anthony of Baldwyn, Nancy Irene Wallace of Birmingham, Ala., Jo Ann Sides of Baldwyn and Janice McMillen of Baldwyn; one son, Randall Key of Dickinson, Ala; one sister, Laverne Hickman of Bethel Springs, Tenn.; one brother, Woodrow Cox of Guntown; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a special friend, Tommy Patton; and a host of nieces and nephews.

C. C. KEY

Columbus C. Key laid down his arms near Corinth, Miss., and his spirit passed over the river to rest beneath the shade of the trees of paradise.

At the beginning of the war he joined the Second Mississippi Regiment, of which Col. J. M. Stone (afterwards Governor Stone) was commander.  The regiment was hurried to Virginia.  It was in the victorious battle of Manassas.  Comrade Key continued to serve with courage until the close of the war. He was always at the front when most needed. He was in all the principal battles of that amy, and surrendered at Appomattox.  He was a patriot in every sense, and ever clung to the Southern cause.

There were four of the Key brothers, all of whom served in the Confederate army.  Maj. Thomas J. Key commanded artillery under Gen. Cleburne, and is at present editor of the Southern Agriculturalist, Nashville. Joseph Key, Kerens, Tex., (Navarro Co.) belonged to the Fifteenth Arkansas Regiment, and was in the service to the end. John T. Key, now of Nashville, although very young, was in the Sixteenth Mississippi Regiment Cavalry under Forrest, and was in the battles of Athens, Sulphur Branch, Pulaski, and Elk River.

Columbus Key, at the close of the war, purchased a large farm eight miles from Corinth, Miss., where he lived until his death.  He was esteemed by all his neighbors.  He leaves four worthy children, one daughter and three sons, who will take care of and provide for their mother.

One by one the heroes of the greatest battles ever fought are passing to the mansions prepared by their Savior.

BALDWYN - Floy A. Key, 97, died Monday, Dec. 15, 2003, at the Harbert Hills Nursing Facility in Savannah, Tenn., after a long illness. She was a homemaker and a Mormon.

Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Waters Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Lloyd Stephens officiating. Burial will be in Casey Creek Cemetery.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews; her friends and caregivers at Harbert Hills Nursing Facility.

BALDWYN - James R. "Red" Key, 58, formerly of Mobile, Ala., died Monday, Sept. 16, 2002, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville. He worked for

Bender's Shipyard in Mobile, Ala., for more than 20 years and later became disabled. He served two tours in the Vietnam War. He was a Baptist.

BOONEVILLE ‑ Buford Kidd, 80, died Wednesday, July 5, 2000, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville after a brief illness. He was a retired employee of General Motors, a ITS Army veteran of World War II and a member of Little Creek Baptist Church

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Florence Pounders Kidd; sev­eral nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Carrie and Cora Mae, and two brothers, Hudell Kidd and Buster Kidd.

RUTH KIDD

AMORY - Eugenia Ruth Welch Kidd, 90, died Friday, July 2, 2004, at the Gilmore Memorial Hospital in Amory after an extended illness. She was born Nov. 19, 1913, in the North Cross Roads community of Tishomingo County to the late Lee and Roxie Ann Skinner Welch. She had lived in Amory for the past 64 years. She married James William "Pete" Kidd on April 3, 1940, in Corinth; he preceded her in death. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary at the church. She was the founder of the Amory Art Club and a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. She was an artist, writer, poet, sculptor, song writer and played the mandolin. She loved to dance.

Graveside services and burial will be at 2 p.m. today at the New Salem Cemetery in Tishomingo County with the Rev. Ed Temple officiating. E. E. Pickle Funeral Home of Amory is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her son, William Lee Kidd of Fort Bragg, Calif.; two daughters, Lucrecia Rose Kidd of Amory and Mary Kidd Holt of Mantachie; two sisters, Grace Coker and May Roberson both of Iuka; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Jerry L. Kidd; and a daughter, Yolanda Kidd Johnson.

CORINTH - Lester Junior Kiddy, 75, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, at the Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born Nov. 9, 1929, in Alcorn County to George Lester and Elva Kemp Kiddy. He was a truck driver for Briggs Tobacco Company and a member of the Rockhill Apostolic Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Corinthian Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Isbell and the Rev. Allen Milam officiating. Burial will be in the Rockhill Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Mamie Gray Kiddy of Corinth; three sons, Ricky Kiddy, Stanley Kiddy and wife, Vickie, and Terry Kiddy and wife, Theresa, all of Corinth; two daughters, Brenda Taylor and Kathy Barnes, both of Corinth; two brothers, Eldridge Kiddy and wife, Dola, of Corinth, and T.L. DENNIS ‑ Margaret Kiddy, 47, died Monday, May 7.2001, al the Red Bay Hospital. She was a native of Dennis. She was the assistant manager of the Dollar General Store in Belmont for one year. She attended the Jordan Hill Church of God of Prophecy. She was the daughter of the late Dexter Dean Ivey and J. B. Ivey.

ROY KIDDY

BOONEVILLE ‑ Roy Dallas Kid­dy, 77, died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2000, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center in Tupelo after along illness. He was born June 10, 1923, in Pren­tiss County to Jess and Laramie Mae Lambert Kiddy He was a longtime member of Lakeview Baptist Church, where he was song leader. He worked for 25 years as a supervisor at Prentiss Manufacturing, retiring in 1988. He enjoyed fishing and attend­ing gospel singings.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Loyd Stephenson and Bro. Bob­by Cupples officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery.

RED BAY - Autie Mae Kilburn, 94, died Friday, Aug. 13, 1999, at Ridgewood Nursing Home in Jasper, Ala. She was a native of Mississippi. She was a homemaker and a member of Sims Memorial Methodist Church.

CORINTH - Lydia Rinehart Kilcrease, 94, died Monday, July 28, 2003, at the Twin Lakes Retirement Center in Burlington. She was born Feb. 25, 1909, in Alcorn County. She was an elementary school principal in Baton Rouge, La., retiring in 1969. She lived in Eureka Springs, Ark., until 1991 and in Chapel Hill, N. C., until 2001. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, James William Kilcrease, in 1990.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Liberty Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Smith officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. McPeters Inc. Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.

Estelle M. Kilgo, 79, of 1409 N. College St., Booneville, died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 1985, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville following an extended illness.

Mrs. Kilgo was a housewife and a member of Biggersville Pentecostal Church.

James McClarity Killough of Corinth, Route 3, died at his home at 3:30 a.m. Monday following an illness of three years. He was a native of Alcorn County, a member of the Baptist Church and a retired farmer and carpenter. He was 83.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at Antioch No. 2 Church with Bro. Joe Crawford and Bro. Cletton Wilbanks officiating.

Burial was in the church cemetery with McMillan Funeral Directors in charge.

Mrs. Killough was of the Pentecostal Faith. She was a homemaker who loved her family and friends and enjoyed teaching her children how to work and enjoy life together. She also enjoyed helping others.

BOONEVILLE ‑ Anna Lou Maxwell Kimbrell. 94, died Friday, March 30, 2001, at her home after an extended illness. She was bon, Dec. 6, 1906, in Prentiss County to the late Robert Belton Maxwell Jr. and Mary Frances Miler Maxwell. After graduation from Booneville High School she was a switchboard operator In Booneville for Southern Bell Tele phone and Telegraph Company for 15 years. She was a home­maker. She was a Christian and a member of First Baptist Church in Booneville since June 9, 1946, where she served as a Sunday school teacher in the Junior Department and was president of the Women's Missionary Union. In her later years. she was a member of the TEL Sunday School class, where she gave a devotional every Sunday morning. She was a member of Booneville Homemaker Club and the Missis­sippi Homemaker Volunteers of Premise County.

Services will be at 3:30 P. M. today at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Lynn Jones offici­ating. Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery.

Survivors include one daughter, Sue Carolyn Honeycutt and her husband, Robert L.; her grand daughter, Andrea Lynn Honeycutt Mathis and her husband, John Luke, all of Booneville; two nieces. GLEN - James Douglas "Doug" Kimbrough, 71, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004, at the Russellville Hospital in Russellville, Ala. He was born Aug. 6, 1933, in Red Rock, Ala., to the late James Shelby and Gladys Johnson Kimbrough. He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the East Corinth Church of Christ and a former member of the Burnsville Church of Christ. He was a retired employee of Long Wholesale Distributors. He was a gentle "Santa" who shared a special bond with his great-great-kids, Tori, Alex, Shaynna, Tasha, Tiffany and Ashley.

BOONEVILLE - Boyce C. King, 86, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo following a brief illness. The son of the late Judge and Delsia King, he was a retired farmer, businessman and educator, having taught school in Prentiss and Tippah counties for 30 years. He was a member of First United Methodist church in Booneville and had served in various Methodist churches as Sunday school superintendent, Lay Leader, Sunday school teacher, song leader and on several committees over the years. He loved gardening, gospel music and growing flowers.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First United Methodist Church in Booneville with burial in Booneville Cemetery. Bro. Bobby Hankins and Bro. Too Green will officiate. McMillan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He was preceded in death by his father, Velda Lee King, and his mother, Inoma McCorkle King.

BOONEVILLE - Ernestine King, 90, died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003, at the Longwood Community Living Center after a long illness. She was a member of Smith Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, quilting and crafts.

CORINTH - George L. King, 75, died Sunday, June 12, 2005, at the Veterans Hospital in Memphis. He was born Jan. 12, 2005, in Danville, Va., to A.L. and Annie Elizabeth Richardson King. He was a retired truck driver after 24 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Jack L. King, 76, died unexpectedly Monday, July 9, 2001, at his home in the Mount Vernon community. He was a resident of Tupelo and a native of Cleveland, Texas. He was a mechanic and a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II. He enjoyed gunsmithing.

Lucy James King, 58, of Farmington died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2001, at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis.

Services were Tuesday, Aug. 7, at 3 p.m. at Magnolia Funeral Home with Minister Harold Gray and Minister Brad Dillingham officiating. Burial was in Forrest Memorial Park.

She was the co-owner of King's Taxidermy and Supplies and was a member of Strickland Church of Christ. Her hobbies were helping others, fishing and collecting antique furniture.

She was preceded in death by her father, Temple James; her maternal grandparents, Tom P. and Lucy Elizabeth Holley Wheeler of Booneville, her paternal grandparents, Arthur and Ruth James; one niece, Vickie James; her father-in-law, Carroll Kendrick King; her mother-in-law, Dorothy Donnell King; and two brothers-in-law, Cary B. King and Gerald Garner.

Myra Ann Kendrick King, 52, of Booneville, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2001, at her home in Booneville.

She was born Jan. 2, 1949, in Booneville, the daughter of James Clayton "Jack" Kendrick and Hazel Avis Davis Kendrick. Prior to becoming disabled 11 years ago, she worked as a machine operator in manufacturing. She was a member of West Booneville Church of Christ. She enjoyed joyed gardening, cooking, flowers and her grandchildren.

She is survived by a son, John King and his wife, Jessica, of Booneville; a daughter, Tammy McVey and her husband, Ronnie, of Booneville; her mother, Avis Ward of Booneville; two sisters, Jackie Lambert and her husband, Larry, of Booneville, and Sue Gregory and her husband, Gary, of New Albany; a brother, Dale Kendrick and his wife, Emily, of Booneville; nine grandchildren, Crystal Davis, Erica Davis, Cody King, Devin McVey, Brooke McVey, Timmy McVey, Zachary Penna, Dylan Penna and Cole Penna; and a great-grandchild; Destiny Bennett.

CORINTH - Tim "Turtle" Kingen, 35, died Friday, June 24, 2005, at his residence. He was born July 14, 1969, in Corinth to Tommy and Janie Kingen. He graduated from Alcorn Central High School. He had worked several years at Quebecor World. He was a member of the Pinecrest Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

JERRY KINGERY

Jerry Lee Kingery, 63, of Booneville, died Friday, Jan. 26, 2001, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo following a long illness.

He was born Aug. 6, 1937, in Muscatine, Iowa, the son of Graver Lee Kingery and Roberta Mathis Kingery. He served in the United States Army Special Forces during the Korean War. He worked as a truck driver for many years and as a deputy sheriff in Cedar County, Iowa. He enjoyed traveling.

The body was cremated and there were no services. The remains were interred in Clarence Community Cemetery in Clarence. Iowa. Booneville Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Jewel Weathers Kingsley, 90, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 1996, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville after an extended illness. She was born in the Dorsey community and lived most of her life in the Auburn community. She had served as manager of the Auburn Grammer School Lunchroom. She was active for many years with the Home Demonstration Club in the Auburn Community. She had retired from Kermit's Bakery in Tupelo. She was a homemaker and an avid gardener. TUPELO - Mark Allen Kingsley, 49, died Wednesday, March 3, 2004, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a long illness. He was born Feb. 3, 1955, in Lee County. He graduated from Booneville High School in 1973 and earned a business degree at Mississippi State University. Before becoming disabled, he owned and operated Best Spa Covers in Sherman. He was a member of The Orchard United Methodist Congregation in Tupelo, the Gumtree Civitans and the Fishers of Men Fishing Trail. He enjoyed fishing and golfing.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at The Orchard United Methodist Congregation with the Rev. Bryan Collier and the Rev. Ray Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

BOONEVILLE - Neil Kiniston, 44, of Booneville, died Thursday, March 24, 2005, at the North Miss. Medical Center in Tupelo as the result of a motorcycle accident. He was an employee of Cooper Tire and had worked 13 years at Wolverine Tube in Booneville. He was a member of Gaston Baptist Church and a 4-H club volunteer. He graduated high school in Kalispell, Montana. He was a loving husband who loved riding his motorcycle, camping and spending time with his children.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ben Parman officiating. Burial will be in the Oaklawn Memorial Park.

Survivors include his wife, LaDonna Kiniston; his father, James D. Mrs. Chariene Kinningham, 91, of Atlanta, Ga., formerly of Blytheville, Ark., died Saturday, Nov. 7, 1998, at her residence.

Graveside services and burial were Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 10:30 am. at Elmwood Cemetery in Blytheville, Ark., with the Rev. Bill Williams officiating. Cobb Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Kinningham was born in Booneville on Sept. 13, 1907, to Charles W. Parker and LW Bolt Parker. She was a retired school teacher, having taught at Blytheville Public School. She was the widow of Abe Kinningham.

She was preceded in death by her parents: a brother, Homer W. Parker and five sisters, Eunice Parker Ponder, Susie P. Williams, Lena P. Pope, Lula P. Browning and Evelyn P. Nixon.

She is survived by a son, Charles Abe Kinningham of Atlanta, Ga.; a sister, Christine Nard of Atlanta, Ga.; two nephews, O’Neil Parker of Memphis and William Browning of Albuquerque, N. Dorothy L. Armstrong Kirksey, 86, died Wednesday, June 25, 2003, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was born Aug. 27, 1916, in Union County to Henry Lee and Maggie Simpson Armstrong. She retired from Tupelo City Schools in 1980 after teaching for 42 years at Red Hill, Belden, College Hill, Union County, Pontotoc County, Lee County, Church Street and Green Street schools. She attended Lee County Training School for one year, where she was double promoted twice. She graduated from the Union County Training School as salutatorian in 1932. She earned a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Rust College. She was a member of Spring Hill M.B. Church, a Sunday School teacher and a member of the Missionary Society. She was a member of Victory Court No. 68 of Heroines of Jericho.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis L. Kirksey Jr.; five brothers, Booker T., Ezell, Isaac, Lawrence and O'dellia Armstrong; two sisters, Beatrice Ball and Ethel Johnson.

Pallbearers will be her great-grandson and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The body will lie in state at the church one hour before services.

ELZINE KISTLER

CORINTH - Mavis Elzine Mattox Kistler, 74, died Tuesday, May 31, 2005, at the Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was a member of Flatrock Baptist Church in Benton County. She was a nurses aide at Magnolia Regional Health Center. She enjoyed taking care of animals.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Bro. Carroll Talley officiating. Burial will be in Henry Cemetery.

Survivors include a sister, Margaret Lurlene Hunt of Ashland; four cousins, J.B. Mattox of New Albany, Robert Jackson of Oxford, and Sara Ruth Perkins and Jack Hudson, both of Myrtle; special friends, Bonnie and Charles Traylor, and Faye Mohundro, all of Corinth.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elzy Howard Mattox and Margaret Marie Clifton Mattox.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. to service time Thursday.

BRYCE F. KITCHENS

IUKA - Bryce F. Kitchens, 87, died Sunday, May 23, 2004, at his home. He was a longtime member of Iuka Baptist Church and a member of the Iuka Lodge No. 94 F&AM. He was the owner and operator of Eastport Marina for 25 years.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka with Bro. Kim A. Leonard officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Jewell Kitchens of Iuka; a son, Dr. Ben Earl and Joy Kitchens of Iuka; a daughter, Martha Carol and John Bates of Signal Mountain, Tenn.; two brothers, Tom Beaty of Anacortes, Wash., and Robert Beaty of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; his grandchildren, Kakijane Pulliam, Laura Horn, Kecia Kirk, Craig Oliverius, Candelyn Oliverius and Benjamin Bates; four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Sam Beaty.

Pallbearers will be Melvin Davis, Tulon Rast, Jerry Comer, James Burleson, John Bates, Benjamin Bates and Craig Oliverius.

CLYDE KITCHENS

BALDWYN - Clyde Kitchens, 86, died Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, at the Baldwyn Nursing Facility after an extended illness. He was a retired employee of Penn Tire and a member of the First Baptist Church of Baldwyn.

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. today at Waters Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Faulkner officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.

Survivors include one daughter, Lynn Owens and Mike, of Baldwyn; his grandchildren, Michael Owens and Stacy; great-grandchildren, Katlyn and Kadin Owens of Baldwyn; one brother, John Kitchens, of Columbus; his nephews, Gary Kitchens of Columbus, John Terry Kitchens of Jackson, Ottis Todd; his nieces, Ann Floyd and Gwen McGregor of Batesville.

He was preceded in death by his wife of over 62 years, Ione Kitchens; one brother, J. L. Kitchens; and one sister, Matt Todd.

MARTIN HANCEL KITCHENS

GOLDEN - Martin Hancel Kitchens, 77, died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2005, at the Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence, Ala. He was born Oct. 19, 1926, in Itawamba County to the late Martin Henry and Eva Lewis Kitchens. He was a veteran of World War II, a retired railroad engineer for North Shore Railroad and a Methodist.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Senter Funeral Home Chpael in Fulton with Bro. C.D. Hood, Bro. Bill Adams and Jerry Wood officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Masonic Cemetery.

Survivors include a daughter, Patricia McCreary of Golden; a brother, Mitchell Kitchens and wife, Clarice, of Kenosha, Wis.; two grandchildren, Laura Bolton Patterson and husband, Brant, and Bradley Carlton Bolton.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mavis Johnson Kitchens, on Jan. 9, 1994, and a brother, Edward Eugene Kitchens, in 2002.

Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to service time Saturday.

MOZELLE KITCHENS

BOONEVILLE – Mozelle Fugitt Kitchens, 74, died Thursday, April 29, 2004, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville after a brief illness. She was a retired employee of LeBlanc Manufacturing Company of Kenosha. She was a homemaker and a member of East Booneville Baptist Church.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jim Holcomb and Bro. Rickey Kelly officiating. Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, J.W. Kitchens Jr.; two sisters, Maxola Bonds and Wynette Kelley of Booneville; a brother, Boyd Fugitt and wife, Evelyn, of Booneville; special friends, Brenda and Billy Whisenant of Booneville; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clovis and Syble Greene Fugitt, and a brother, Orville Fugitt.

Pallbearers will be David Berrios, Ed Fugitt, John Mabry, Billy Whisenant, Todd England, Jim Bonds and Mike Kelley.

Visitation will continue until service time today.

OLLIS HALE KITCHENS

Ollis Hale Kitchens Dies Monday

Ollis Hale Kitchens, Sr., of Corinth passed away Monday at his home following an illness of six months. He was a native of Prentiss and Alcorn Counties, and a member of the Martin Hill Free Will Baptist Church. He was .51.

Funeral services were continued Wednesday afternoon at Tate Street Baptist Church with Brother Curtis Bryley officiating. Burial was in Forrest Memorial Park with McMillan Funeral Directors in charge.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Ruby Whitley Kitchens; two sons, Ollis Hale Kitchens, Jr., of Corinth, and Donald Gilbert Kitchens of Corinth; and a daughter, Mrs. L. E. Pratt of Corinth and three grandchildren.

MRS. R. D. KITCHENS

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Lebanon Church, Tippalt Kitchens, 89, who died at her home in the Liberty community early Wednesday morning. She is believed to have had a heart attack for death come suddenly.

Mrs. Kitchens was Miss Mary Allie Dees, the daughter of Abe and Minerva Dees, of Tippah County, before her marriage.

She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Funeral services were con ducted by the Rev. B. C. Whitehurst. Surviving are her husband, R. D. Kitchens, and one son, Ollis H. Kitchens of i3ooneville, one other son, Lee Kitchens, died in 1933. Five brothers and one sister also survive.

McMillan and son had charge of the funeral arrangements.

ALCIE MAE KITCHENS

Alcie Mae Kitchens, 81, of Baldwyn, died Monday, April 15, 2002, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis. Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 17. Burial was in Kirkville Cemetery. There were no Local survivors.

KATHLEEN KITCHENS

Kathleen Shelton Kitchens, 79, of Corinth, died Thursday, June 14, 2001, at Magnolia Regional Health Center in Corinth.

Services were Saturday, June 16, at 1 p.m. at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with the Rev. James "Pete" Wooley officiating. Burial was in Forrest Memorial Park.

Mrs. Kitchens was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed cooking for her family, quilting and gardening.

She is survived by three sons, William Cecil Wilson and his wife, Helah of Corinth, Hubert L. Kitchens and his wife, Debbie, of Booneville, and David Allen Kitchens and his wife, Diane, of Jumpertown; two daughters, Hazel Stewart and her husband, Art, of Chicago, Ill., and Shelia Daniel and her husband, Tim, of Marietta; three brothers, Royce Shelton and his wife, Sib, of Booneville, Marvin Shelton of Wheeler and Glen Shelton and his wife, Paulette, of Cherokee, Ala.; a sister-in-law, Helen Shelton of Jumpertown; 19 grandchildren, Gary Kitchens and his wife, Ruth, John Kitchens and his wife, Rebecca, Jim Lauderdale, Lauren Lauderdale, William Wilson and his wife, Mary Jane, Tim Wilson and his wife, Pam, Sherry Wilson, Gerald Wilson and his wife, Becky, Christopher Kitchens, Shane Kitchens, Melissa Barnes and her husband, Jamie, Leonda Castille and her husband, Randle, Benny Stewart, Heather Kitchens, Baxter Barron, Lee Evans and his wife, Misty, Richie Evans, Christy Evans and Raymond Entrekin Jr.; 16 great-grandchildren; and two special friends, Faye Hollis and Patricia Smith.

Pallbearers were Gary Kitchens, John Kitchens, William Wilson, Shane Kitchens, Christopher Kitchens, Lee Evans and Jim Lauderdale.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John David Shelton and Myrtle Henderson Shelton; a brother, Richard Shelton; a granddaughter, Sheryl Stewart; and two sisters, Bessie Bailey and Mildred Pierce.

ANNIE KIZER

BOONEVILLE - Annie Lee Pounds Kizer, 90, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002, at the Landmark Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a long illness. She was a member of Hills Chapel Church of Christ and a retired school teacher for Hills Chapel School.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Donald Green officiating. Burial will be in Booneville Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Ellis Kizer of Booneville; three nieces, Sue Glenn of Booneville, Betty Ann Berry of Baton Rouge, La., and Clara Jo Burgess of Killen, Ala.; six great-nephews, Stephen Berry, Chris Glenn, Craig Glenn, Stanley Pounds, Steve Burgess and Jeff Burgess; a great-niece, JoAnne Pounds.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Quay Brown; a brother, Henry Pounds; and a nephew, Donnie Joe Pounds.

Visitation will be from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Sunday.

BOONEVILLE - Baxter Kizer, 84, died Friday, March 22, 1985, at the Cedar Health Center in Tupelo after a lengthy illness. He was a former resident of Prentiss County and a member of Pleasant Valley Church of Christ.

Services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ with Bro. G. T. Pharr officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Salts Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Gara Cleveland of New Site, Mrs. Helen Frebel of Miami, Fla., Miss Eugenia Kizer of Arlington, Va.; one brother, James Kizer of Owensboro, Ky.

CLIFFORD G. KIZER

Rites For Clifford G. Kizer Held Monday

Funeral services for Clifford G. Kizer of Booneville, Rt. 4, who was a monument salesman and retired school teacher and farmer, Awe held at 2:00 p.m. Monday in Booneville Church of Christ with Bro. J. A. Thornton officiating. Burial was in the Booneville Cemetery with McMillan Funeral Directors in charge.

Mr. Kizer died at 5:00 p.m. Saturday in Northeast Mississippi Hospital after an illness of 10 months. He was born in Prentiss County, had served as county tax assessor for eight years, and was a member of the Church of Christ. He was 79.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Mable Clara Elledge Kizer; three sons, Ellis and Clifford, both of Booneville, and Milton Kizer of Florence, Ala.; a daughter, Mrs. Roy Morrow of Florence Ala.; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

OWENSBORO, Ky. - James S. Kizer, 69, died Thursday, Oct. 10, 1996, at the Owensboro Mercy Health System in Ky. He was born in Prentiss County. He was retired from the U. S. Air Force and the Federal Aviation Administration. He was a retired air traffic controller. He was a member of Ridgewood Baptist

Church. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Ridgewood Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Glenn Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Jean Kizer; a son, Jamie Kizer of Memphis; three daughters, Shelia Ambs, Sonja Kafer and Mona Coomes, all of Owensboro, Ky.; three sisters, Cara Cleveland of New Site, Helen Frebel of Miramar, Fla., and Gene Kizer of Arlington Va.; nine grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Rites For Olen G. Kizer Held May 20, 1964

Funeral services for Olen G. Kizer of Osyka, Miss., were conducted Wednesday, May 20 at 10 a. m. in the chapel of Hartman Funeral Home in McComb, Miss. Burial was in Osyka Cemetery with Hartman Funeral Directors in charge.

Mr. Kizer died Monday, May 18, 1964, at 5:30 p.m. in the Magnolia Hospital in Magnolia, Miss., following an extended illness.

He was born in Prentiss County and had lived here until moving to Osyka some 20 years ago. He was a member of the Church of Christ, retired lumberman and dairyman and 58 years of age.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Eva Ward Kizer of Osyka; a son, Tommy Kizer of Savannah, Ga.; a daughter, Mrs. James Spears o f Osyka, Miss.; a brother, John Baxter Kizer of Booneville; two half brothers, James S. Kizer of the U. S. Army and Beldon B. Kizer of Acushnet, Mass.; a step-brother, F.

OTTIE KIZER

Ottie Bolton Kizer, 88, of Booneville, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2002, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville after an extended illness.

Services were Wednesday, Feb. 6, at 1 p.m. at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Hill and the Rev. Terry Teddlie officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

Mrs. Kizer was a housewife and a member of the First United Pentecostal Church in Booneville. She loved quilting and flowers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Kizer; her par­ents, William Calvin and Modina Bolton; and one son, Donnie Kizer.

She is survived by six daughters, Annie Lou Pounds, Lena Ashcraft, Allie Ashcraft, Nancy Pounds, Kay Hopkins and Melissa Barnes, all of Booneville; two sons, Earl Kizer of Kossuth and Steve Kizer of Pigeon Forge, Tenn.; 25 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Her grandsons were pallbearers.
