He was a native of Mississippi and a member of the Liberty Church of Christ, where he loved to attend worship. He loved children and was joy to his friends and family. He loved life and had that special gift of making others smile.
Services were at 2 p.m. Feb. 23, at Liberty Church of Christ in Dennis with Tim Spivy and Jeff Martin officiating. Burial was in Joel Cemetery in Dennis. Deaton Funeral Home of Belmont was in charge of the arrangements.
