The Society is a non-profit organization, whose purpose is to seek, collect, preserve and disseminate information about Lafayette County, Mississippi and the families who have resided here.

Dues are $12 per calendar year. Checks may be sent to the secretary, Frank Walker, P. O. Box 1382, Oxford, MS 38655. Members receive an informative newsletter every quarter. Online inquiries may be sent our president, Max Hipp at mhipp3489@gmail.com.

The Society has suspended our usual every other month meetings during the Covid pandemic.  Volunteers are in the Genealogy Room most weekday afternoons and Friday morning.  Regular meetings, once resumed, will be held at the public library on the third Sunday of the odd-numbered months.
