US GenWeb Project In 1996, a group of genealogists organized the Kentucky Comprehensive Database. The idea was to provide a single entry point for all counties in Kentucky, where collect databases would be stored. In addition, the databases would be indexed and cross-linked, so that even if an individual were found in more than one county, they could be located in the index. At the same time, volunteers were found to coordinate the collection of databases and generally oversee the contents of the web page.
I am the County Coordinator for Jefferson County, Mississippi, Ann Geoghegan. I would like to take this opportunity to give a special thank you to Carolyn Switzer who has been the County Coordinator for this site for many years. Carolyn has taken over as Adams County Coordinator so if you need her, you can still visit! I welcome all contributions and suggestions. Just drop me an email and I'll get right back to you. Together we can make this site something special and beneficial to all.
