Issaquena County
I, F.E. Mayfield, Tax Collector of the County of Issaquena have this
day according to law, sold the following described land to wit: SE 1/4
Section 2 T9 R9 West 160 acres more or less as the property of J. Walker
for the taxes due thereon for the year 1844 to wit: the sum of Nine and
40/100 dollars when Robert M. Smith being the best bidder at the sum of
$9.40/100 became the purchaser thereof: said sum being the amount of taxes.
I therefore sell and convey said described property to said R.M. Smith
his heirs and asigns forever.
Given under my hand and seal this 20th day of April 1846
