Fitler Plantation Deed: 1919

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, that I, I. Lucas, of Sharkey County, Mississippi, for and in consideration of the sum of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000) cash to me in hand paid by Annie E. Heath of Issaquena County, Mississippi, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hereby convey and warrant unbto the said Annie E. Heath those certain lots, tracts or parcels of land lying and being situated in Issaquena County, in the State of Mississippi, particularly described as follows, to-wit:

Lots One (1), Two (2), Three (3), Four (4), Five (5), Six (6), Seven (7) and Eight (8), of Section Three and eighty-four (84) acres in the southeast corner of Section Four (4), containing in all five hundred and sixty-five (565) acres excepting therefrom ten and seventy-two hundreths (10.72) acres reserved as a homestead by C.A. and S.P. Fitler: and also excepting therefrom fifty (50) acres owned by Annie E. Heath in the eastern part of Lots One (1), Two (2), Three (3), Four (4), Five (5), and Six (6), of Section Three (3), all being situated in Township Ten (10), Range Eight (8), West, and comprising what is know as the Fitlers' Landing Place.

It is expressly understood and agreed that I do not warrant any part of the land hereinbefore described used or occupied by the Board of Mississippi Levee Commissioners. It is my intention to hereby convey unto the said Annie E. Heath all and every part of what is known as the "Fitler Plantation" situated in Issaquena County, Mississippi, belonging to me, whether or not the same be herein particularly and correctly described.

It is also agreed that all counters and shelving, post office fixtures, and two desks and one chair, belonging to me, situated in the storehouse on said land, known as the "Red Store", are hereby sold, transferred, conveyed and delivered to the said Annie E. Heath.

It is understood and agreed that the said Annie E. Heath shall pay all taxes of every kind for the year 1919, on or against the property hereby conveyed.

WITNESS my signature this the 19th., day of February, 1919.

PERSONALLY appeared before me, the undersigned, a Notary Public in and for the City of Vicksburg, County of Warren, in the State of Mississippi, the within named I. Lucas who acknowledged that he signed and delivered the foregoing instrument on the day and year therein mentioned.
