Oak Grove Cemetery
 
Oak Grove Cemetery is located near Sparta, Chickasaw Co, MS.  It is an old cemetery, pre-dating the Civil War.  Many markers have disappeared, others are broken and on the ground, and the tornado in Spring, 1971 caused destruction.         A. Mixon was Alexander Mixon B. Jul 20, 1805, son of Ichabod & Gatsy Belk Mixon; Mrs. Sousannah Mixon obviously his 1st wife because his will names wife Laura.  Alexander Mixon's sister was Nicey May Mixon who married Jeptha Harrington, son of Col. James F. Harrington & Sarah Lusk Harrington.  Col. James F. & Sarah Lusk Harrington are buried at Amity Baptist Cemetery, Chickasaw Co, MS
