
CHARLES LOUIE WALTERS

Charles Louie Walters, 84, retired brick mason of Aurora, but a former resident of Galena, died at his home in Aurora, Thursday night. November 19, 1959. He had been in failing health for sometime but his death came unexpectedly.
Born in Marionville, he was one of six children born to the late
Michael and Matilda Walters.
Following his marriage, Mr and Mrs. Walters lived in Galena until 1923. They celebrated their Golden Anniversary in 1953.
Survivors include his wife, Edna of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Bessie Standridge of Pineville; two sons, Charles Lee Walters of Springfield and Jack O. Walters of Cleburne, Texas; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one brother, Frank Walters of Salem, Oregon.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Arnold Chapel in Aurora with Rev. Michael McGinnis officiating. Burial was in Maple Park Cemetery with Arnold Funeral Home in charge.
