DEATHS

MRS. CALLIE STEELE

Mrs. Callie Steele, 80, Ponce de Leon, died at 2:05 a.m. Monday in Springfield Baptist Hospital. Mrs. Steele had lived in Ponce de Leon all but two years of her life.

Surviving are three sons, Arthur, Ponce de Leon. Orel, Sun Valley, Calif., and Buster, Van Nuys Calif.; five daughters, Mrs. Juanita Maples, Ponce de Leon, at whose home Mrs. Steele had been living, Mrs. Isadore Looney, Springfield, Mrs. Dalcie Tennis, Modesto, Calif., Mrs. Florene Hunt, Route 8, Springfield, and Mrs. Nettie Finley, North Hollywood, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Ella Glossip, Ponce de Leon; three half-sisters, Mrs, Carrie Eutsler, Galena, Mrs. Bessie Adams, Portland, Ore., and Mrs. Artie Benard, Centralia, Wash,; 14 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ponce de Leon Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Willard officiating. Burial was in Ponce de Leon Cemetery under direction of Harris of Nixa.
