John Marcus Neill

John Marcus Neill, 73 died Oct 26, 1922 and had been a residence of this area sense 1866. He was a native of Tennesse and came with his parents to Arkansas in 1860 and six years later moved to Missouri. Mr Neill was married to Anna C Peters Feb 03, 1878 and to this union were born seven children all of whom with his widow survive him. The children are Marvin Neill of Wheaton Mo, Alvin, Claude, Edgar, and Miss Millie Neill of Crane, Mrs Ella Smallwood of Crane and Mrs Berthia Cope of Flat Creek. He is also survived by three sisters Mrs L J Forbis Crane, Mrs F A Leemaster Hominy Okla. and Mrs J M Davidson of Exeter. Mr Neill was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian church and had lived a exemplary life. Funeral services were conducted at the Presbyterian church Friday afternoon by Rev. Raymond Jinkerson of Shambaugh La. and berial was in Masonic Cemetery Crane, Missouri.
