JAMES NEILL

JAMES NEILL, departed this life on the 3rd day of February 1876 at his residence in, Barry county Missouri and was there at the time of his death, 64 years and six months old. Brother Neill was born in North Carolina in the year of 1821, . He emigrated to Tennessee while young. Brother Neill embraced religion in an early day and joined the M. E. church, south, of which he was an official member a number of years. In the year of 1858 or 59, he moved to Arkansas, and about the close ot the war he moved to this country. He,was a member and good standing of the Masonic order and remained true to the fraternity until his death. Brother Neill was also a member in good standing in the order of Patrons of Husbandry of which he became a charter member in the spring of 1874, of Woodward Grange and remained an honored and respected member until death called him away. Brother Neill suffering was long and intense but he bore it with such firmness and Fortitude as characterizes the true christian. He leaves a bereaved family and many friends to mourn his loss.
