Claude A. Neill, 82, a well - known farmer in this community, died Tuesday night at his home on Route 1. He is survived by his wife, Inez; a Son, Ernest, Columbia; three sisters, Miss Millie Neill and Mrs. Bertha Cope, both of Route 1, Crane, and Mrs. Ella Smallwood, Wheaton; a brother Alvin, Route 1, Crane, and a granddaughter Janis. Funeral servlces were at 2 p.m. Thursday, in the First Church of God, of which he was a member, with the Rev. Richard Alexander officiating. Burial, under direction of Manlove, was in the Masonic cemetery here. (Submitted Feb. 21, 1998)
