Mrs. Sophia Ann Cook, 85, of 673 South Jefferson, died at ?:40 a.m. Thursday in Springfield Baptist Hospital where she had been a patient one month. She had suffered from a lingering illness.

A native of Stone county, she had been a resident of Springfield the past 36 years. She was a member of the Grace Methodist Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Verna Beck, of Route 12, Mrs. Bonnie Raper, of 1850 East Delmar, and Mrs.  Flossie Thompson ,  Marionville.

Other survivors include a brother, Roland Lee of Springfield, a half-sister,  Miss Bonnie Lee Briscoe of the state of Oklahoma; six grandchildren, [?] great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Chapel of the Ozarks with the Rev. Glen Jones and the Rev. Don Enright officiating.
