The girl on the far left is Viola Nickerson, age 15 or 16.  The others are unknown.  The unusual tree in the background might be clue to the location.  The lady on the right is wearing a banner which reads, "I'm so lonely & all alone."  Dawna thinks that this might have been some type of singles picnic or social.
