1900 Stone County Federal Census

1900 STONE COUNTY FEDERAL CENSUS
Contributed by Jo Dunne & Shirley Evans

This census contains eleven townships made up of 1,983 families, and nearly 10,000 people. This transcription was taken from a microfilmed copy of the original document. Due to the handwriting and the quality of the microfilm, there are some instances where we are not totally confident of our interpretation of the entries. In these cases a question mark has been inserted. Many names were misspelled on the original census, but no effort has been made to "modernize" spellings, and an accurate reproduction of the entries has been attempted. If you do not agree with the spelling of your ancestor's name-please do not ask us to change it for to do so would make the transcription inaccurate. Some of the data in the original census has been omitted to reduce the labor of transcription and the file size. © 1999
