CRANE OLD TOWN CEMETERY

To Old Town Cemetery List

The following data on the Crane Old Town Cemetery, on the grounds of the Crane Christian Church,
Crane, MO, is current as of 4 SEPT 1989, when the list was compiled and published by the
church cemetery committee.

Information for the list was compiled from burial records and a physical inspection of head
and foot stones extant in 1989. This transcription does not contain information on burials
occurring after 4 SEPT 1989. This record was transcribed and provided for the cemetery lists
by George B. Griffin, 151 Perry St., Douglas, MA 01516-2425.

The cemetery as laid out contains space for 864 graves. Most burial lots are 10 feet by 25 feet
and contain room for five graves, each 5 feet by 10 feet. There are 19 burial lots that have
room only for four graves each. One lot contains only three graves.

Key to locating graves:

ROWS = LETTERS; LOTS = NUMBERS (10 FEET X 25 FEET)
FIVE = GRAVES PER LOT (5 FEET X 10 FEET)
ROADS = HIGHWAY 13 ON WEST SIDE; CITY STREET ON NORTH SIDE
EMPTY SPACES = APPROXIMATELY 3.5 FEET BETWEEN GRAVE ROWS
EMPTY SPACE = APPROXIMATELY 2 FEET BETWEEN INDIVIDUAL GRAVES
