1920 Stone County Federal Census
1920 Stone County Federal Census Project

Thanks to the efforts of a group of volunteer transcribers, under the leadership of Cheri Mello, we are able to provide the census records for 1920 Stone County. Their names are listed with the township which they transcribed. Please take the time to thank them for their work.

The 1920 census contains nineteen townships. The transcriptions were taken from a microfilmed copy of the original document.  Many names were misspelled on the original census, but no effort has been made to "modernize" spellings, and an accurate reproduction of the entries has been attempted. If you do not agree with the spelling of your ancestor's name, please do not ask to change it, for to do so would make the transcription inaccurate. If you doubt the information here please go to your local genealogy library and view the original microfilm. Some of the data in the original census has been omitted to reduce the labor of transcription and the file size.

Links to the Index and the Townships are listed below.  Make a note of the township and house number of your ancestor after locating them on the Index, then click on the appropriate township link to view the township transcription.
