SIGMAN AND MATHEWS PURCHASE RHEA VARIETY STORE

fivedime.jpg (12895 bytes)

Messrs. Frank Sigman and T. P. Mathews, both of whom are in the employ of the Flat River Hardware & Furniture Company, have purchased the E. A. Rhea variety store. The stock is to be invoiced next Monday, after which they will take charge.

The store will be under the active management of Mr. Mathews. While Mr. Sigman will be a partner in the business, he will not sever his connection with the hardware store, of which he has been manager for several years. Both Mr. Mathews and Mr. Sigman are good business men and will undoubtedly make a success of their new venture.

Mr. E. A. Rhea established this store about seven years ago. He expects to leave Flat River in the near future, but, we have been informed, has not definitely decided just where he will locate. During his residence here he has made a host of friends who will regret to see him leave.
