PAGE FOUR

Mary Cecile Marchand was the second child of Matilda and Louis Marchand.  She was born December 21, 1883, in Rucker's Prairie (present day Luebbering) located in Franklin County, Missouri.  Mary was baptized March 10, 1885, at the Catholic Church of Rucker's Prairie. James Pilliod was her godfather and Julia Marchand was her godmother.  As is evidenced by her report cards, Mary was a good student.  On February 21, 1906, she married William Perry Wilkson, who was a railroader.  They first lived in Doe Run [St. Francois County], Missouri, later moved to East St. Louis, and in early 1920 moved to Detroit, Michigan.  Perry died in Detroit on February 10, 1923.  Mary later  met and married Thomas Madore in the mid-1920's.  This album page will contain pictures of Mary Marchand in her early years and during her marriage to William Perry Wilkson.  Pictures  taken during her subsequent marriage to Thomas Madore will be contained on a subsequent page in this album.    Mary (Marchand) (Wilkson) Madore died September 6, 1962, in Cambridge, MA.   The foregoing  information as well as the photos which follow were contributed to us by  Joseph A.
