JONES - WUNNING WEDDING |
| Miss Lorelei Jones, only daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Roy E. Jones, 3313 Haney Street, Flat River, became the bride of Clifton Wunning, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Wunning, also of Flat River, in a pretty ceremony at the Taylor Avenue
Methodist Church on Friday evening, April 6, at seven o'clock. The Rev. C. Ellis
officiated at the impressive double ring candlelight ceremony. Mr. Clay Parker presided at the console of organ, playing nuptial music preceding and during the ceremony. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was gowned in ivory satin, designed with fitted bodice, square neckline and long tight fitting sleeves. The bodice was buttoned down the back and the skirt was draped to form a bustle and extended into a full circular train. Her tulle veil was secured to a coronet of seed pearls and the bridal bouquet was composed of white rosebuds and sweet peas. Mrs. Ralph Howard, matron of honor and her only attendant, was gowned in pink net over matching taffeta and carried a colonial bouquet of sweet peas. Luther Wunning was his brother's best man and ushers were Donald Jones, brother of the bride and Charles Ray Landolt. Following the ceremony a reception for one hundred quests was held in the church parlors. The table held a beautifully decorated three-tier wedding cake which was served with punch. The punch bowl, more than 200 years old, belongs to the Corwine family. Mr. and Mrs. Wunning are at home to their friends at 902 Taylor St., St. Francois. Mrs. Wunning is employed at the City Hall and Mr. Wunning works for the Kopman-Woracek Shoe Co. |
