HENSON - TIEFENAUER WEDDING |
| Miss Rosemarie Henson, youngest daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Henson of Elvins, and Bobby Gene Tiefenauer, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Thomas Tiefenauer of Desloge, were united in marriage on September 5, 1950. The double
ring ceremony was performed by candlelight at the South-side Ball Park in Winston Salem,
S.C. before a background of Gladioli and ferns, with Rev. Mark Tuttle of the Burkhead
Methodist Church officiating. The bride wore a gown of white slipper satin designed with high neckline of lace trimmed in seed pearls, fitted bodice and a hoop skirt. Her fingertip veil was secured to a coronet of pearls. She carried a bouquet of flowers of love and orchids. Mrs. George Kissell of Winston Salem, her only attendant, was gowned in white net over pink satin and carried a bouquet of mixed flowers. The bridegroom had his cousin, Walter Tiefenauer Jr. of Desloge as his best man. The brides mother wore wine crepe with black accessories and an orchid corsage. The groom's mother chose a blue and white dress with black accessories and wore an orchid corsage. Others attending the wedding from here were the groom's father, Charles Shelley and Eugene Tiefenauer, a cousin of the groom. Mr. Tiefenauer is a relief pitcher for the Cardinals. The young couple received many nice gifts from the townspeople including a honeymoon trip to Carolina Beach. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the College Village Grill for the wedding party. Bill Bergesch president and business manager of the Winston Salem Cardinal Ball Club and Mrs. Bergesch and all members of the club and their friends were among those attending. |
