WHITE MULE CAUSES TROUBLE FOR MEN
CAUGHT PEDDLING IT AT ELVINS

Marshall Mullen of Elvins and W. E. Rogers of "Red Onion" were caught "red handed" in Elvins Saturday night, dispensing white mule to any who had the price and the inclination to purchase. They were peddling the stuff from a new Ford which the two men had recently purchased.

R. B. Blaylock, night marshal of Elvins, arrested the two men and took them to Farmington, where he lodged them in jail to await trial. They were arraigned before Justice Zollman's court in Farmington, Monday morning and plead guilty. Marshall was fined $100 and Rogers $150, in each case, with cost.

The men mortgaged their "tin Lizzie" to obtain the money to pay their fines.
