ROLAND E. HALL

     Roland E. Hall, 312 Ninth St., Leadwood, retired from the St. Joseph Lead Co., Nov. 1 of this year [1967]. He was employed by St. Joe in 1926 and worked until 1929 at which time he was employed by the Desloge Lead Co. He then transferred to St. Joe in June of 1929.

     In the course of his employment, he worked as a laborer, trackman, loader and operating driller in the mining department.

     He was married to Mamie Miller, Nov. 10, 1921, who is now deceased. They have six daughters and four sons: Faye, Mrs. Alvin Sago, Flat River; Flora, Mrs. Homer Scott, Imperial; Wanda, Mrs. Leo Young, Pevely; Nadine, Mrs. Clarence Keaton, Farmington; Maxine, Mrs. Dallas Link, Leadwood; JoAnn, Mrs. Dean Hoehn of Flat River; Donald, St. Louis; Kenneth, Imperial; Gale of St. Louis; and Jerry, Bridgeton. On March 19, 1966 he was united in marriage to Bessis Jamison and he has two step-children, Thomas Jamison of Frankclay and Genevieve, Mrs. Marvin Marler of Irondale. He has 29 grandchildren.

     Mr. Hall is a member of the East Side Church of God in Leadwood. He now plans a visit to Florida and Arkansas in the near future and to follow his hobbies of fishing and hunting.
