He worked intermittently for St. Joe from 1916 to 1918 and was employed March 5, 1928, by the Mine La Motte Corporation. He transferred to the St. Joseph Lead Company on July 13, 1931. In the course of his employment, which continued through Dec. 31, 1964, Mr. Sago worked as a Construction Carpenter, as a Carpenter in the Milling Department and also in the Shops Department. From 1918 to 1927, Mr. Sago worked for the Desloge Lead Company as a Mill Operator, Carpenter Helper and Carpenter.

He was born in Elvins, Mo., and was married Dec. 21, 1939, to Bertha Carty. They have four children, thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The pensioner's sons are Sam Sago of Farmington Route 3 and Glenn Sago of Farmington; step-daughters are Mrs. Lindell (Fern) Coffman of Cantwell and Mrs. John (Norma) Zion of Detroit, Mich.

Since 1944, Mr. Sago has lived at his present address where he has a home work shop. He plans to rest, visit, work in his shop during retirement.
