Joseph Lyons Killed In Mines

YOUNG MINER KILLED BY FALLING ROCK IN LEADWOOD, SATURDAY.

    Joseph Lyons, aged 22 years, was killed at No. 12 shaft at Leadwood Saturday when a large rock fell on him from the roof of the mine. 

    Young Lyons had been employed in Leadwood for three or four years.  His parents live in Washington County about three miles west of Potosi.  The remains were removed to the family home, where the funeral was held Sunday. 

     The unfortunate young man had been boarding at the home of Mrs. Burns in Leadwood.
