Voreschoski was engaged in taking down loose back, when another section of rock, which he apparently had not seen, broke loose. He was working near George S. Gilman and Jim Gillihan, who found him buried beneath the rock and removed his body, after hearing the crash of the falling rock.

He had moved his drill and placed it against a wall, in order to take down the section of loose rock, when the accident happened.

An inquest was held at four o'clock, Wednesday afternoon, at the Caldwell Funeral Home, conducted by Coroner Clarence Claywell and Prosecuting Attorney W. E. Coffer. The verdict was that the deceased came to his death by falling rock, an unavoidable accident.

Joe Casimer Voreschoski was born on February 5, 1914, in Flat River, Missouri and departed this life on September 4, 1943, aged 29 years 6 months 29 days.

He was united in marriage on November 25, 1931, to Dolores Glen Marshall, who with their two children, Mary Francis and David Joe, survive. He also leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Voreschoski of Flat River; seven sisters and one brother: Mrs. Jo Ann Muczynski, Mrs. Margaret Antckak, Mrs. Virgie Kaczmarek, Miss Estelle Voreschoski and Michael Voreschoski, all of Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Mary Roberts of St. Louis; Mrs. Stella Postlewait of Farmington; and Miss Frances Voreschoski, at home with her parents.

Besides his immediate family he leaves many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him. He was a kind husband, a loving father and a good neighbor.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Caldwell Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. W. E. Hicks, pastor of the Esther Baptist Church. Interment was in St. Francois Memorial Park.
