Dale Ressmeyer, 30-year-old mining engineer employed by St. Joseph Lead Co., was killed in an accident at Pim mine, Tuesday, Sept. 16 [1958], at 10:15 p.m. He was working at loose rock, which was being pried loose, and as it gave way, he slipped and fell beneath it, resulting in instant death.

Dale William Ressmeyer was born in Pipestone, Minn., April 14, 1928, a son of Delva Bradley Ressmeyer and the late William Ressmeyer. He was graduated from high school and served two years in the U.S. Navy. Later he attended Wisconsin Institute of Technology, graduating as a mining engineer in June 1952. Shortly afterward he came to work for St. Joseph Lead Co.

On January 30, 1953 he was united in marriage to Miss Karen Phillips, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Phillips in Rivermines. He is survived by his wife and two children, Ann Louise, aged 3, and Walter Dale, 1. He also leaves his mother, and a grandmother, Mrs. Ernest Bradley, both of Lancaster, Wis.

The body is in state at the Hood Funeral Home and will be taken to the Presbyterian Church at 1:00 p.m., Friday, Sept. 19. Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., by the Rev. D. Stanley Tyner, with interment in Hillview Memorial Gardens near Farmington.
