Stephen G. Cresswell of Potosi, was a Tech. Sergeant with the U.S. Army during World War II, serving with the 5th Armored Division and 10th Tank Battalion.  Cresswell served in France, Belgiumm, Luxembourg, Holland and Germany during the war.

 "After serving 33 months overseas, there are many stories.  However, I would like to remember an Army buddy of mine, Lawrence W. Weeks.  Mr. Weeks was an educator and coach in this area for many years," Cresswell said.
