    Rollin Edward Becker, Desloge, Missouri, son of the late Edward Phillip Becker and Ruby Ethel Becker (nee Robertson) enlisted in the U.S. Navy in late December 1944 at St. Louis, Missouri and received his training at Great Lakes Naval Training Center. He graduated from Desloge High School but was not present for graduation as he was with the outgoing units going to the South Pacific. He served on the light cruiser U.S.S. Vicksburg CL86 ansd then transferred to the destroyer U.S.S.  Colahan DD658. Her last act in WW11 was to enter Sagami Wan bay 27 August 1945 as harbor entrance control vessel for Tokyo Bay. The peace treaty was signed on 01 September 1945. The Colahan received eight (8) battle stars during WW11. After discharge he enlisted again for the Korean war. In 1953 he was married to Helen Marie Myers of Pacific, Missouri.  They became the parents of five children, Mark, Lorne, Janis, Paul and Kathy, and have 6 grandchildren. On 06 June 2003, Rollin and Helen Marie will be married 50 years. Rollin  loves to hunt, fish, and do genealogy research.
