Cletus Barton, now deceased, was a member of the 115 Infantry Regiment.  He served in Germany.  He was wounded crossing the Rhine River. 

He received the following decorations.  WWII medal, The European, African, Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, The American Campaign Medal and the Combat Infantry Badge.  He was discharged after the end of fighting.


Cletus Barton, now deceased, was Private First Class serving in the Army with the 115th Infantry Regiment.  He served in Germany.   The following information was provided by his son James Barton. 

"My father fought in the Rhineland campaign and was wounded crossing the Rhine River.  During that battle, he received the following decorations:  World War II Medal, the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, The Bronze Star, The Purple Heart, The American Campaign Medal and the Combat Infantry Medal.

"He has always been my Rambo.  He was honorably discharged Aug. 21, 1945 at the Hospital Center in Carson, Colo."
