Reve Miller Akers, 3012 Themis, Apt C, Cape Girardeau, was a Private First Class in the WAC outfit Sg. E 1377th AAF Bu NAC/ATC during World War II. Originally stationed at Fort Sheridan, Ill., she also served in the Pacific Theater.

"For four months in the Pacific Theater she was stationed in Tokyo as a member of the 8225th WAC Battalion," said G. Mabel Reed. "She worked as a clerk/typist preparing military correspondence. Her office was in the same building as Gen. Douglas MacArthur's headquarters, only one floor above. This was the Mitsubishi Building in Tokyo (of course this was after the war ended)."

Reve is the daughter of the late George (Shorty) Miller and Era Upchurch Miller of Leadwood.
