F. H. DEARING DIED FRIDAY IN CALIFORNIA

Falkland H. Dearing, an official of the St. Joseph Lead Company, died April 10th, 1936, at Los Angeles, California.  He was born in Washington County, Missouri, on September 25th, 1860, and spent practically his entire lifetime in Bonne Terre, Missouri.

Mr. Dearing was one of the oldest employees and officials of the St. Joseph Lead Company, having recently received the gold metal which is presented by the Company to employees who have completed fifty years service.  He was Assistant Treasurer of the St. Joseph Lead Company, and Secretary and Treasurer of the Doe Run Lead Company until its dissolution, since which time he has been one of its Trustees.  He was also an officer and director of several subsidiary companies of the St. Joseph Lead Company, and was highly respected by his business associates and held in high regard by all the people with whom he came in contact.

Mr. Dearing was a civic leader in local affairs, having served as school director, and president of the Bonne Terre Memorial Library, and he was an active worker in the Bonne Terre Centenary M.E. Church.

Mr. Dearing was united in marriage on February 20, 1890, to Ada M. Ferguson, who survives him.  His funeral was from the Bonne Terre Centenary M. E. Church to the Bonne Terre cemetery on Wednesday, April 15, 1936.
