FARMINGTON PHYSICIAN DIED MONDAY P.M.
Published by THE LEAD BELT NEWS, Flat River, St. Francois Co. MO, Fri. Feb. 3, 1928.

Dr. W. A. Copeland passed away at his home in Farmington, Monday, January 30, 1928, at 7:30, at the age of 69 years, two months, and six days. He had been suffering from a complication of diseases for almost two years, and everything that medical skill and loving hands could accomplish was done, but it had been known for some time that the end was near.

Dr. and Mrs. Copeland came here from Ellington, Mo., about seven years ago. He had been actively engaged in the practice of his profession, and was in business in Ellington up to that time. He was an earnest Christian and a member of the Baptist Church here.

The remains were taken to Ellington at noon Wednesday, where funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church Friday, February 3. He leaves to mourn his death his faithful wife, who so tenderly cared for him in his illness, one child having preceded him in death at the age of twelve years.

The entire community will miss this fine old man, who numbered his friends by his acquaintances.
