JOHANNIGMEIER, Susanna Elizabeth Ring

Susanna Johannigmeier, October 29, 1910 - May 12, 2008. - Susanna Elizabeth Ring Johannigmeier was born in the home near Appleton City, Missouri on October 29, 1910 and spent her entire life in the Appleton City community. She was the daughter of Robert Thomas Ring and Laura Adams Ring. She passed away May 12, 2008 at Ellett Memorial Hospital in Appleton City at 97 years of age. On April 22, 1934 she was united in marriage to Edward C. Johannigmeier. To this union two sons were born. They spent their entire married life farming in the Appleton City rural community. Susanna was an excellent cook and homemaker. She taught in on-room schoolhouses, public schools and Head Start in Bates, St. Clair and Henry counties. She graduated from Appleton City High School and attended Central Missouri State University and Southwest Missouri State University. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for 85 years serving as Sunday School Superintendent for an extended period of time. She had been a member of Chapter CC P.E.O. Sisterhood since 1961. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward, son Robert who died at birth, her parents and a brother. She is survived by her son Jerry and his wife Suzann of Appleton City, cousins and a host of friends.

Carrie (Olson) Johnson was born in Sweden on July 16, 1867 and passed away on January 23, 1947 at the age of 79 in her home at Lowry City, Missouri. She came to America May 17, 1888 at the age of 21.  She was married to Henry Johnson the same year in Algona, Iowa. To this union, 4 sons and 4 daughters were born, one dying in infancy. August W. born August 12, 1890 - died June 9, 1981 in L.C. Clara Amelia (DeMoss) born Oct. 29, 1891. Lily Elnora born Aug 26, 1894 - died Feb. 1986. Eda Victoria (Cruzan) born June 11, 1897 -died January 3, 1983. Edna Magdalene (Hammond) born July 22, 1899 -died Feb. 25, 1993. Carl William born July 13, 1902 - died Oct 25, 1961. Harley Arnold born Nov. 21, 1906 - died Jan 8, 1925 (age 19).
Carrie Johnson was converted in Sweden at the age of 14 and joined the Swedish Lutheran  Church. She, later, joined the Presbyterian Church at Chalk Level, Mo. Funeral services for Carrie Johnson under the direction of the Osceola Funeral Home were held at the Chalk Level Church, with the Rev. Amos Jackson, the Rev. Elmer Wright and Howard Higgins officiating. Burial was in the Concord cemetery. Thus closes a long and useful life.

JOHNSON, Hanah Renee

Hanah Renee Johnson, eight-week-old daughter of Desserree M. Letterman and Dustin E. Johnson, died at her home in Calhoun on Friday, September 30, 2005. Graveside services were Monday, October 3, at the Lowry City Cemetery. She is survived by her parents, Desserree M. Letterman and Dustin E. Johnson; her maternal grandparents, Becky Silvestro and Rick Greer, Jerry Letterman and wife Terry; maternal great-grandparents, Judith Letterman, Donnie and Bonnie Jones; maternal great-great-grandparents, Stan and Elsie Southworth; her paternal grandparents, Roy Johnson and Renee Simmson; paternal great-grandparents, Walter and Mildred Green.

JOHNSON, Henry

This community was made sad last Saturday when the news came that Henry Johnson was dead. Mr. Johnson's team ran away with him last week and mashed his hand. Drs. Smith of Osceola and Divine of Appleton City were summoned at once. They dressed the hand but on Wednesday blood poison had set in and he was taken to Kansas City where everything possible was done for him but to no avail. He leaves a wife and several children to mourn his loss. Each and every one in this community extends heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family.

JOHNSON, Katherine Lewis

Katherine Lewis, daughter of Lawrence Henry (Harry) and Sarah Blanche Harlan Lewis, was born December 17, 1893, in Osceola. She graduated from Osceola High School in 1912 and December 18, 1912, was married to Waldo P. Johnson. To this union was born a daughter, Alice Blanche, and a son, Waldo P. III. In 1919, the Johnsons moved to Kansas City, where Mr. Johnson practiced law, and they lived there until 1936, at which time they returned to Osceola for a period of eight years. They then moved to Clinton. After World War II, they went to Yokohama, Japan, where Mr. Johnson was an attorney with the Judge Advocate Section of the Army at the War Crimes Trials. It was during this time that Mrs. Johnson took lessons from a Japanese artist and began a lifelong joy of painting. When they returned to the States, they lived in Jefferson City and Mrs. Johnson continued her painting instruction at Lincoln University. from there, they went back to Japan for a year and then she returned to Osceola, a widow, and lived there until 1992. The last three years she has resided in Rock Port.
Waldo P. Johnson died January 1952. Mrs. Johnson was always active in cultural political and community affairs. She contributed to Red Cross work in both World War I and World War II. She was a member of DAR, The Twentieth Century Club, the Mary dela Vergne Club, the Tuesday Club, and the Art Guild. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Osceola. Mrs. Johnson was predeceased by her husband, her son, her daughter, one grandson, Robert L. Johnson, and one sister, Mary Harlan Willig. She is survived by one sister, Lissie L. Butcher of Osceola; four grandchildren, William W. Farmer of Rock Port, Emily J. Stone of Freeport, Fl., Waldo P. Johnson IV of Palm Desert, Ca.; and Andrew L. Johnson of Osceola; ten great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held Monday, August 8, 1994, at the Osceola Cemetery, conducted by Father Lawrence Lewis, her cousin.

JOHNSON, Leona Hulda Bryan

Leona Hulda Johnson died at her home in Lowry City, March 28, 1942. She was the daughter of Bolivar D. and Virlena E. Bryan and was born at Marthaisville, Mo. April 9, 1865. She was married to Calvin T. Johnson, Dec. 8, 1885. To this union one daughter, Fanny was born. She was a member of the South Methodist church, and formerly lived here but had left about 27 years ago, returning about 6 months ago. She is survived by her daughter.Funeral services were conducted by Charles E. Miller at the home Saturday afternoon. JOHNSON, Orval Don
Orval Don Johnson, son of Cecilia Marie and Arthur William Johnson, was born January 1, 1930 in Kit Carson, Colorado. He passed away April 24, 2006 at Research Medical Center at the age of 76 years. Orval graduated from Kit Carson High School, and then earned his Bachelor of Science in Education degree at Colorado State. He moved to Missouri where he attended Missouri University at Columbia, later receiving his Masters in Education and his Specialist Degree at Central Missouri State in Warrensburg. Mr. Johnson called Appleton City his home beginning in 1959. His first job as an educator was with Appleton City High School where he served as principal, math and science teacher. He was a dedicated teacher giving up his lunch hour to help advanced students who asked for extra tutoring. He was hired by Central Missouri State in Warrensburg in 1967 as an academic advisor. He became the chairman of the academic advisory department during the 24 years he served the college. Orval also enjoyed raising cattle and farming in addition to his teaching and advisory careers. After his retirement from Central Missouri State, Orval was an advanced math teacher at Montrose High School from 1991 until the time of his death. Orval served his country in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Missouri State Teacher’s Association, the St. Clair County Cattleman’s Association, the Farm Bureau, the American Legion, had served on the Appleton City School Board and the Ellett Memorial Hospital Board. Orval’s wit will long be remembered and cherished by those who worked with him, associated with him, or were taught by him. He almost never missed an event held at the high school and never met a stranger. He had an infectious smile and laugh enjoying those with whom he was associated and served. Preceding Orval in death were his daughter, Susan Renee Parker and three sisters, Pearl, Bernice and Lorraine. Survivors include his sons, Blair Johnson and wife Christy of Columbia, Missouri and Craig Johnson and wife Lisa of Appleton City, Missouri; one sister, Helen Koch of Grand Junction, Colorado; one brother, Alvin Johnson of Eugene, Oregon; six grandchildren, Jacob Turner, Kendra Turner, Kristy Young, Craig Johnson, Britney and Clint Johnson; one great-grandson, Kaiden Turner; and many nieces and nephews.

JOHNSON, Thurman Alfred
Junction City - Thurman Alfred Johnson, 82, a resident of Junction City, died Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at Geary Community Hospital in Junction City. He was born March 15, 1927, in Iconium, Mo., to Martin Luther and Edeth Harriett Cross Johnson. He attended school at Shady Grove, Mo. He moved to Paola, Kansas, and worked for the railroad. He moved to Junction City and worked at a service station and for the Concordia Ice Co.

JOHNSON, William Martin

William Martin Johnson was born 30 Sep 1887, the second son of Adam and Julia (Boots) Johnson, at Ohio, MO. Bill received his education at the Ohio Public School and also attended school at Greenburg, KS. He was reared in the Ohio community and later moved with his parents to a farm west of Appleton City where he was engaged in farming. Following the deaths of his parents he continued to farm for a time and then moved into Appleton City to be near his brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Minnie Johnson. He has lived in the Colonial Manor Nursing Home here in Appleton City a year and a half. Preceding him in death were his parents and three brothers, Marvin, Carl and Roy. Surviving are his sister-in-law, Minnie Johnson, nephews Bob, Ralph, Merle and Billy Johnson and their families. He died Wednesday, 15 May 1974 at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Appleton City, MO. Funeral services were held May 17 at the Eckhoff Funeral Home, Appleton City, with Robert Fenwick of the Ohio Christian Church officiating. Pallbearers were Victor Johannigsmeier, Otto Johannigsmeier, Robert Johnson, Ralph Johnson, Merle Johnson and Billie Johnson. Interment was in the Appleton City Cemetery.

JONES, Dorothy Fay Burchett

Dorothy Fay Burchett Jones - Dorothy Fay Burchett Jones was born in Cedar County, Missouri December 29, 1919 to George Emmett and Pearl May [Brock] Burchett, the ninth child of a family of thirteen. She died Monday, March 17, 2008 at Big Spring Care Center in Humansville. On February 25, 1939 she married Stanley Virgil Wombles. To this union five children were born:  Ernest Eugene, Selma Lorene. Kenneth Ray, Virgil Dale and Forrest Allen. Dorothy and Stanley lived most of their lives in Cedar, Hickory and St. Clair counties, farming, including dairy cattle, operating a cafe and raising their family. They enjoyed large family gatherings.  Dorothy loved to cook and delighted in seeing her loved ones enjoy the fruits of her labor. In the early 1970's they moved to Colorado where they lived for several years before returning to live in Hermitage.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers, two sisters, her husband Stanley on Feb 2,
1988, three sons, Ernest, Nov 18, 1940, Kenny, Feb 2, 1971 and Virgil, Jan. 16, 1986 and one great-granddaughter, Jennifer Troupe. On May 18, 1991, she and Melvin Jones of Weaubleau were married.
Dorothy was a member of the Wheatland Baptist Church.  Her faith sustained her all of her life. Dorothy was
always busy cooking, canning, making beautiful quilts and doing needlework and crafts of all kinds. She
loved to travel and had been to 49 of the 50 states.  Hawaii was the only state she didn't get to see. She
never saw a stranger and immediately made you feel at home. She was generous in all things, especially in
the love she so freely gave to her family. She is survived by her husband, Melvin, of the home in Weaubleau, two children, Selma, of Collins and Forrest of Osceola; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; eight great great grandchildrenen; one brother, Melvin Burchett, Columbus, Ohio; two sisters, Elsie Hamilton, Caplinger Mills and Edith Hamilton, Stockton; three stepchildren, Evelyn, Joe and Jim Jones and many nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home, Humansville with Brother Hamilton officiating. Interment was in Freeman-Holsapple Cemetery, west of Collins.

JONES, Elsie T. Randall
Elsie T. Jones, 97, of Clinton, Mo., died Thursday November 15, 2007 at the Golden Valley Memorial Hospital. She was born October 1, 1910, in Hill City, Ks., to Charles Randall and Elena Waltz Randall. Elsie married Bert Jones on December 24, 1931. He preceded her in death in February of 1979. She was a member of the Ohio Christian Church, Lowry City, Mo., where she was the oldest living member of the church. She remained active in church activities well into her 90's. She also loved gardening and raising beautiful flowers.
Survivors include two daughters, Berlena L. Eads of Clinton, and Randa Kay Davis of Clinton; five grandsons, Randy Eads and his wife Sandra of Austin, Tx., Carson Eads and his wife Marcy of Allen, Tx., Terry Davis and his wife Neta of Belton, Mo., Todd Davis and his wife Janelle of Peculiar, Mo., and Jeff Davis and his wife Cristy of San Diego, Ca., one granddaughter Sonda Morris and her husband Rick of Butler, Mo., eight great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, one brother Rodney Randall and his wife Lelah of Unionville, Mo., and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers, Waltz Randall, Herbert Randall, and Ray Randall, and four sisters, Nathalie Parks, Helen French, Ruth Graham, and Elma Parsons. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday November 19, 2007 at the Ohio Christian Church, Lowry City, Mo., where the family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., prior to the service. Mrs. Jones will lie in state from noon to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton. Burial will be in the Lowry City Cemetery, Lowry City, Mo., The family suggests memorial contributions to the Ohio Christian Church, in care of the funeral home.

JONES, Gladys Laverne Davis

Gladys Laverne Jones was born Jan. 18, 1934, in Columbia, and passed away April 26, 2005, at the Clinton Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Clinton. She was the youngest child of 13, born to John and Mabel Davis. Gladys is survived by her daughter, Sandra Crocker of Lowry City; one sister, Kathryn Yates, of Osceola; three grandchildren, Debbie Wirsig of Lowry City, Kim Hamblin of Deepwater and Jimmy Crocker of Lowry City; five great grandchildren, Weston, Dylan and Garrett Wirsig, Hali and Hannah Hamblin; and many nieces, nephews, cousins from her large Davis family. Gladys was raised in the Independence and Osceola areas and graduated from high school in Osceola in 1951. She married Junior Jones in February of 1952 and started a family with one daughter born to this union in April of 1953. She was employed at Clearfield Cheese Company for a few short years. Funeral services were held April 30 at the Sheldon-Goodrich Chapel with Rev. Danny Fergerson officiating. Music selections were “In the Garden” and “How Great Thou Art” by Gail Ingle. Casketbearers were Jimmy Crocker, Matt Wirsig, Travis Hamblin and Robert Hursh. Burial was in the Lowry City Cemetery under the direction of the Sheldon-Goodrich Funeral Home, Osceola. Helen Marie Jones , January 28, 1934 - April 9, 2008 -  Helen Marie Jones was born near Girard, Kansas January 28, 1934 to John and Allie Rhodes. She passed away at her home in Clinton, Missouri April 9, 2008 after a long illness at 74 years of age. Helen lived her early years in the area around Pittsburg, Kansas. She attended her first three years of high school in Nevada, Missouri and completed her senior year in Appleton City, Missouri. Helen Married Ray Jones September 2, 1956 in the Christian church in Appleton City. They had three children, Steven Ray, Cheryl Ann and Shannon Lea. They have five grandchildren, Kristin, Austin, Trevor, Tanner and Reese. Helen loved and lived for her children and grandchildren. She always said, “I just want to be a good person,” and she was. She loved the Lord with all her heart and being. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clinton, Missouri where she and Ray have lived for the past twelve years. The Lord blessed her with considerable artistic talents. She could do landscape, portrait, toll and ceramic painting, and has left us with many fond memories in her art and carvings. She was preceded in death by her father, John Rhodes, her mother, Allie (Gates) Rhodes, and a sister, Betty, who passed away a year before Helen was born. She is survived by her husband and all of her children and grandchildren. JONES, Melville Ephus

Melville Ephus Metz Jones, the eighth of 13 children. was born November 2, 1913, in Deepwater to Eli and Ollie Earthy Park Jones. He passed away June 30, 2006, at Sac-Osage Hospital, Osceola. Metz grew up on the family farm in the Park Grove community. He attended Park Grove Elementary School and graduated from Lowry City High School in 1936. After graduation Metz worked on the farm with his father and brother until he was called into the service during WWII. He was in the Air Force, serving in the European Theatre Operation.
After an honorable discharge from the Air Force, Metz was united in marriage to Helen Foster. They established their home in the Park Grove community where they purchased a farm. Metz took great pride in raising good cattle. In 1950 he took the greatest step of his life and accepted Christ as his savior. Metz and Helen became members of the Park Grove Christian Church. He was a very faithful member and served the church in whatever position he felt needed and served as an Elder for many years. Metz was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Lee, David, Eli, and two in infancy; five sisters, Eathel, Edna, Pearl, Ollie and Maye. He leaves behind his wife, Helen, of 59 years; two sisters, Ruby Bowyer of Gunnison, Colo. and Crystal Sanders and her husband, Bob of Memphis, Tenn., three sisters-in-laws, Hazel Foster, Mildred King and her husband Ralph and Emma Jane Anderson and her husband, Frank, 23 nieces and nephews and many many friends. Services were July 4 at Park Grove Christian Church, officiated by Rev. Bob Fenwick and Rev. Shawn Sealy. Music chosen was "Amazing Grace" with Mark Smith as soloist and "The Solid Rock" by the congregation, Gay Smith, pianist.
Casketbearers were Craig Wilkins, John Jones, Wade Hammel, Jim Snyder, Claude Anderson and Steve Sanders. Honorary Casketbearers were Jim Wilkins, Merril Jones, Dale Tucker, Harold Snyder, Dave Andes, George Hankins, Gary Jones, Wilford Harper and John McClure. Interment was in Park Grove Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Sheldon-Goodrich Funeral Home, Osceola.

JONES, Millie Salina Bangle
Millie Salina Jones, 86, Osceola, passed away Monday, Dec. 18, 2006 in Sac-Osage Hospital following a brief illness. The daughter of Charles and Iva Wiseman Bangle, she was born Feb. 12, 1920 at Brighton. Millie was united in marriage to Arthur F. Jones Nov. 24, 1937 and they were the parents of nine children. Her husband, Arthur, an infant son, Charles and two grandchildren, Allen Jones and Jimmy Jones, preceded her in death.
Millie is survived by her children and their spouses, Hazel and Bob Henry, ElDorado Springs, Dorothy and Roy Burk, Richmond, Wanda and Lyle Weddington, Deepwater, Arthur E. and Margie Jones, Osceola, Albert and Millie Jones, Bonaqua, Tennessee, Lonnie Jones, Clinton, Donnie and Bonnie Jones, Warsaw, and Johnny and Andrea Jones, Warsaw; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; s well as extended family and friends. Funeral services were Friday, Dec. 22, 2006 in the First Assembly of God at Osceola with Pastor Danny Fergerson officiating. Interment will be in Yeater Cemetery under the direction of Murray Funeral Home, Humansville.

JONES, Pauline Goff

Pauline Goff was born on a cold blustery day, December 4, 1909, at Albany, Mo. During 1916 the family moved to Brownington. Pauline was blessed with many brothers and sisters. Pauline was educated in Henry County. She was joined in marriage to Clarence Jones on August 6, 1931 at Warrensburg. They lived in Kansas City, Raytown and lastly their Lowry City farm. Her loves in life were husband, teaching, and her church. She was a member of Park Grove Christian Church. She taught at Raytown and in Henry and St. Clair counties. Her former students are scattered far and wide. Several have remained in touch with her.  Preceding her in death were Floyd Goff of Boise City, Ok., Edna Schlesinger of Eldorado, Ks.,  Ruby Hunt of Windsor, and Charles Goff of Grandview. She is survived by Ardyth Boucher and husband Jerry, and Barbara Haverland and husband Irvin; 4 brothers, Clifford Goff of Boise City, Ok., Gordon Goff of Springfield, Dale Goff of Kansas City, Glen Goff of Perry, Ia.; two sisters, Ruth Carroll of Marionville, Joyce Gilbert of Overland Park, Ks.; 4 grandchildren, Alan Haverland of Springfield, Laurie Stinnett and husband Richard D. Stinnett of Lowry City, Jeremy Boucher of Kansas City; other relatives and friends. She will be missed. Funeral services were held Thursday, July 16, 1992 at Sheldon-Goodrich Chapel, Osceola. Burial was in Park Grove Cemetery.

JONES, Randall Drew

Randall Drew Jones, 58, passed away December 1, 2005, at his home. Randy was born May 2, 1947, in Nashville, Tenn., to Thomas and Rose Marie Jones. After graduating from West End High School in Nashville, he served in the U.S. Navy as a Sonarman on the U.S.S. Voge. He married Nancy Brewer on March 29, 1969, in Basking Ridge, N.J. When he was discharged from the Navy, they returned to Tennessee, where he worked in construction with his father before moving his family to Missouri in 1981. He continued working as a carpenter until he began his employment at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Harrisonville in maintenance, about four years ago, a job he enjoyed very much until his death. Randy was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Nancy; daughter, Holly McKinley and her husband Clint of Schell City; son, Scott Jones of San Francisco, Calif.; sister, Gail Voss and her husband George of Waterford, Mich.; sister, Cindy Tubbs and her husband Mark of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; two step grandchildren, Wade and Hanna McKinley; three nieces, two nephews, one great-niece and four great-nephews. As was his wish, he will be cremated, and there will be no formal funeral service. Friends are invited to share memories and celebrate his life with his family on Wednesday, December 21, from 1 until 2:30 p.m. at his home near Taberville.

Robert H. Jones, 91, Deepwater, passed away Dec. 7, 2006, at Veteran's Administration Hospital in Kansas City. He was born Sept. 24, 1915, to Jonas and Viola Smith Jones, Deepwater. Bob was a World War II Veteran and served his country in the U.S. Army. Following the war, he married Norma Chiles, making their home in Kansas City where he retired from Union Wire Rope in 1977 after 28 years. Bob started each day with a hand of solitaire and Bible devotion and always read his lesson for Sunday school at deepwater Christian Church where he attended regularly. As a teenager, Bob and his family lived in the Ohio community and attended the Ohio Christian Church where he was saved and baptized. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jonas and Viola Jones; four brothers, Tom Jones, Jess Jones, Ervin Jones and Leonard Jones; two sisters, Mae Smith and Jo Knight; two sons, Gale Jones and Ed Jones; two grandsons, Lance Fleming and Bill Smith and great grandson, Hayden Brenner. Survivors include Norma, his wife of 57 years; brother, Art Jones of South Carolina; sister, Jewell Winters, Independence; three daughters, Linda Smith of Texas, Lana Fleming and her husband, Rich, Branson West and Robin Stocking and her husband, Chuck, Deepwater; grandchildren, Charles Smith of Indiana, Michael Smith of Ohio, Shelly Cheney and her husband Todd and Sha Ree Kucera of California, Shanteel Korzep and Sharla Ballinger and her husband, Patrick, Las Vegas, Nev., Dana Kay Brenner and her husband, Jim, Nixa, Jon Burrow and Dillon Stockin, Deepwater; great grandchildren, Trevor, Bryce, Kelsey, Katie Lin, P.J., Hunter, Brady, Chase, Torrey, Bo, Madison, Maverick and Jake; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Services for Bob were Sunday, Dec. 10, at the Sheldon-Goodrich Chapel with Reverend Jim Knight officiating. Musical selections were "I'll Fly Away" and "I Know Who Holds Tomorrow" with Dana Kay Brenner, soloist and Ruth Schmidli, accompanist. Casketbearers were Jon Burrow, Jim Brenner, Mike Jones, Dillon Stocking, Bill Chiles and Larry Thompson. Honorary Casketbearers were Bob Lyon, Jerry Nichol, Jim Smith, Bill Nichiols, Joe Schmidli, Jody Brown and George Thompson. Interment was in the Park Grove Cemetery under the direction of Sheldon-Goodrich Funeral Home, Osceola.

Veda F. Jones, 88, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2011, after a short illness.  She was born May 7, 1923, in Quincy, Missouri, to Stacy McCaslin and Golda Inez Wilkerson.  She retired from Milgram’s Grocery. Veda is survived by her husband, Charles Jones, of the home, whom she married in 1963.  Daughters, Linda Hennich, of the home, and Barbara Gronek of Oak Grove, MO.  Grandchildren, Jami Herington, Jerry and Tina Herington, John and Tracy Lynn Herington, and Tracy Hennrich. Veda is preceded in death by two sisters, Leta Mae Karr, and Mary Kaszuba; brother, Everett Tuck; and grandson, Jason Gronek. A visitation will be held Saturday, October 29, 2011, at D. W. Funeral services for Patsy C. Lee Jungert, 60, Clinton, were held Monday at Sheldon-Goodrich Chapel in Osceola. Burial was in the Roscoe Cemetery. Mrs. Jungert died September 11, 1999, at Golden Valley Hospital in Clinton. Mrs. Jungert is survived by her father, Jack Lee, Osceola; two sons, Lawrence Jungert of Kansas and Mike Lee of Liberty; a longtime friend, Dan McGinley of Clinton; five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Jungert was born to Jack and Pearl Lee on March 28, 1938, in Antlers, Oklahoma. She was a Baptist.

JURGENSMEYER, James Thomas

James Thomas Jurgensmeyer was born Feb. 21, 1926, in Montrose, the third child of Ben and Rose Walthers Jurgensmeyer. He departed this life on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2005, at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, at the age of 78 years. On Nov. 17, 1953, Jim was united in marriage to Mary Ellen Vogel and to this union 12 children were born. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary; two brothers George and Ralph; two children, Rose and Earl; and one grandson, Nicholas. He is survived by his children, Edward and his wife, Roxanne, David and his wife, Donna, Carl and his wife, Cathy and Gregory and his wife, Phyllis, all of Montrose, John and his wife, Brenda of Osceola, Ann and her husband, Mike Fellhoelter and Duane and his fiance, Denise, all of Deepwater, Roy and his wife, Bridget of Clinton, Janice and her husband, Don Teal of
Minnesota and Patricia and her husband, Barry McDowell of Colorado; 26 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister Irene Kaumans and one sister-in-law, Blanche Jurgensmeyer, both of Montrose. Funeral mass was held Thursday, Feb. 24, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Montrose, with Father Ed Oen and Father Chris Myers officiating. Music was by the Immaculate Conception Adult Choir, Aileene Mayer, organist and Carol McEwan, vocalist. Readers were Roy Jurgensmeyer and Janice Jurgensmeyer. Giftbearers were Lindsey, Ashley and Brooke Jurgensmeyer.Casketbearers were Kendall Fellhoelter, Wesley Fellhoelter, Bryan Jurgensmeyer, Cole Jurgensmeyer, Jerald Jurgensmeyer, Tyler Jurgensmeyer and Brandon Jurgensmeyer. Burial with military honors by the Montrose VFW Post #8820, was held in the St. Mary's Cemetery, Montrose. Memorials may be made to the St. Mary's School.
