Contract and Grant of Easement.
This Indenture made and executed this 29th day of October, 1930, by L.A. Morris and Mary E. Morris, husband and wife, of St. Clair County, State of Missouri, hereinafter called “Land Owners”.
Witnesseth: Whereas, West Missouri Power Company, a Missouri Corporation hereinafter called “Company”, has erected a dam on Osage River near the city of Osceola, Missouri, as authorized by decree of the Circuit Court of St. Clair County Missouri, entered September 9, 1927, for the generation of electric power, and desires to obtain certain flowage rights and water rights to certain lands along Osage River above said dam, including the flowage rights and water rights of the lands, now owned and possessed by the Land Owners hereinafter described.
Now, Therefore, in consideration of the sum of Four Hundred Thirty seven and 97/100 Dollars ($437.97) and other valuable considerations in hand paid by said Company to the Land Owner -receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, the Land Owners do – hereby grant, bargain and sell and convey to the Company its successors and assigns an easement flowage rights and water rights incident to and required by the erection and maintenance of the Company’s dam to the height at which same is erected at date hereof, free of any claim for damage therefore either present or future, to the tract of land along or near the Osage River described as follows:
The South Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section Twenty seven (27) and the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter Left bank of Osage River of Section Four (4) in Township Thirty seven (37) of Range Twenty seven (27).
It is agreed that all the terms and conditions hereof shall be binding and obligatory upon the successors and assigns, heirs and representatives of the parties hereto.
In Witness Whereof, the Land Owners have signed this instrument, all on the day and year aforesaid.

On this 4th day of November, 1930, before me, O.D. McCollum, a Notary Public, personally appeared L.A. Morris and Mary E. Morris, his wife, to me known to be the persons described in and who executed the foregoing instrument, and acknowledged that they executed the same as their free act and deed.
In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my official seal at my office in Kansas City, Mo. the day and year first above written. My term expires March 13, 1922.
