According to family history (oral) William Mason Moore and wife Fannie Fry left Hardy County, Virginia on horseback to Fountain
County, Indiana. He was born 13 Feb 1804 but we are not sure where. His wife Fanny Fry was born 4 Sept 1817.
They were married 4 Dec 1834 in Hardy County, Virginia. Both were born in Virginia according to census records.
Their oldest son, Benjamin F. Moore was born 15 April 1836 in Fountain County, Indiana.
Mary Jane Moore was born on 2 Nov 1837 in Indiana. She died 15 Sept. 1839.
The Moores came to St. Clair County, Mo. in Oct 1838.
Rebecca Ann Moore was born 22 May 1840 in Missouri.
Sarah Frances Moore was born 8 April 1843.
Henry Thomas Moore was born 4 Nov 1844.
