James W. Blocker, Sr. & Mary Elizabeth Wylie were my GG-grandparents.
James is said to have come from Tennessee to Scott Co. as a young man. He
was married first in Cape Girardeau Co. to Odelia Ann Santford on Feb. 16,
1837. There were 3 children of this marriage: Columbia J., Henry S., and
Mary E. Blocker. There were 8 children by he and Mary Elizabeth: Mildred
Melissa, William M., James W. Blocker, Jr., Martha, Maria Elizabeth, Thomas
Franklin, John R., and Francis Marion Blocker
